Topic: Dreaming of a 3DS

I'm sure there are people here who have had a dream of the 3DS at least once. Ironically, from what I can remember; I dreamed of the 3DS for the FIRST time since it was announced last year (yeah, I'm surprised I haven't dreamed of the 3DS prior).

But let me share how this dream went:

It was the apparent launch of the 3DS and it was somewhat cloudy with snow melting leaving large puddles all around. I was waiting in line at a Gamestop (it's NOT the one I pre-ordered from, as this Gamestop in my dream is reminicent of the one near the mall where I pre-ordered from a Gamestop within). I was the third or forth in line and as soon as the doors opened, we all proceeded through in this somewhat narrow space. People were pushing me from behind (I was getting annoyed and ready to punch someone lol) and I waited patiently. Then, I hear employees saying something that the "Blue 3DS is running out" (even though I saw there were PLENTY- probably to strike some paranoia on the people behind me lol). So, it's my turn to get my 3DS and there happened to be a 3DS there to try (it was not connected to anything, it was OPEN to pick up and play). I played Street Fighter IV and turned on the 3D....

It.. Was... HORRIBLE! It was blurry and I sucked with the character in the game I was playing as. Then I turned it down and it was blocky- resembling edgy polygons and then suddenly it became decent looking when I turned it to the middle. Crazy.

So, the guy finally got me my 3DS as my pre-order was paid in full prior and he stuffed it in a bag similar to those in Japan when they were selling 3DSes. Then, I remembered: "Wait a minute.. This isn't real... This is a dream!" I went off the to the side to the 360 section where the games just blended in- seriously, I don't think I saw anything standing out because when I go to Gamestop, I notice everything around me. I checked my phone and it was 11:00ish AM, 3/27. My phone was the only thing that I could remember that was EXACTLY like the phone I had in real life, as the 3DS was somewhat different looking (the lights were on the left like the DSi; oddly enough, the 3DS that was on display that had SSFIV looked like that, as the 3DS displayed on the box looked like the 3DS is the 'real world').

So, I was desperate to get home to play with it even though I knew it was a dream and the fact I did not get any games because apparently I pre-ordered them @ another Gamestop (probably my mind was thinking about the Pilotwings and SSFIV that I pre-ordered @ the mall with my 3DS in the real world).

So, yeah.. Thought I would share this. I never got a chance to even play my 3DS D:

Cause all of a sudden, my dream switched over to something else- some type of obstacle course with my Nephew, nieces and sister. As if we were in some video game...

Anyone have interesting dreams related to the 3DS?

I thought it was funny that I realized that it WAS a dream and I was trying to play it before I woke up

I think I can only recall one time in which I was in a dream and was actually AWARE that I was in a dream. Usually, no matter how bizarre it is, I think the dream is real while I'm in it.

lol, I had a vague dream about it recently. I got Mario Kart and the graphics were like what you'd get if you combined the DS and GBA versions and colored the courses a dark, sandy brown. I also couldn't see the 3D effect, no matter how much I strained — it just wasn't there.

It was hella fun though. XD

I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN. I dreamt i had a 3DS and i hadn't turned it on before my sister got a hold of it and powered it on. I saw her with a gaping mouth "WHOA COOOOOOL". Then i snatched it and i could't see the 3D! I was freaking out in that dream cause i was so upset. I tried so hard to see the 3D but i just could't see it.
It was horrible

I don't dream.

That's why I frickin loved Inception... Pretty much everything that happened in that movie seemed plausible, and I could remember an instance of those things happening to me. i.e, dreams in dreams, getting killed wakes you up, time passing slowly, and controlling the dream.

It was awesome. I gotta watch it again.

I had a dream about it a couple weeks ago, I don't really remember much, but in my dream the 3D effects sucked.

I dreamed... Of playing SMB theme in Wii Music. Bought the game the next day :3

I had a dream that revealed to me Pokemon HeartGold, Soulsliver before they were even announced. Then i got this Nintendo Power months later with those two games on the front and said "Oh wow...that's so weird it's not even funny..."
I also dreamed of Kid Icarus Uprising before it was announced too...

I had a dream involving my dad giving me a smuggled 3DS that had Shaun the Sheep 3D in it. Believe.

When Gameboy Color came out I had a dream where I bought on of those. The next time I was looking at Gemaboy Color games I even forgot for a momant I never bought one. Man that was a realistic dream.

I dreamt (...why is this word marked with a red line on my computer? ...>_>) that 3DS boxes were just lying in a store to be picked up. I took one and opened it....it was empty. T_T

Lucid dreaming ftw. It's pretty impressive if you can realize you're dreaming and go on dreaming and then do what you want without waking up. If you're interested in doing that or at the very least remembering your dreams then the first step is to keep a dream journal and write down every detail you can remember once you wake up.

It's funny that nobody can see the 3D in their dreams. It's like your mind is saying: 3D WITHOUT GLASSES?!?! CAN NOT COMPREHEND.

In the only 3DS dream I had I didn't even get to open the box. I bought it and brought it home, but when I was about to open the box I saw that it was Aqua Blue. I then remembered that I had preordered black, and my dream shut down. Seriously. Every time there's a contradiction in one of my dreams and I realize that I'm dreaming, I wake up. Kinda sucks.

I can do that. I never really practiced it or anything, it was just a skill that came naturally. However, my lucid dreams are pretty sporadic. I can't control when I have them or not. I also can't control too much in my dream. I can only control my actions and thoughts, I can't just change the setting to Jupiter all of a sudden. I should practice up more

"You're not alone. I also had dreams of playing the 3DS all this week. Indeed, the dream felt so real. I even woke up out of my sleep thinking that there was a 3DS right beside me.

Also, during the dream, I don't remember seeing the screen. I wanted to see how UI and games looked on it but couldn't because I was in a rush trying to get ready for school or something. Not one glimpse of the screen, as if I wasn't allowed to see it.

Haha, I know what you all mean. Heck, I had a dream that a Giant Diddy Kong was going to eat me. It was because I played LOTS of Diddy Kong Racing and played Battle Mode a lot when I was little- you know, the volcano level collecting eggs. I was flying the plane and this GIANT Diddy Kong snatched me and was laughing hysterically..

Then, years later, he comes up in Super Smash Bros. Brawl's Subspace Emmissary- you know, when the shadow bugs engulf his statue and this giant purple yellow eyed Diddy Kong emerges.. I kinda laughed but was a bit frightned because it's a FREAKING GIANT DIDDY KONG!!!!

Yet, I've always liked him no matter what. Just not as a giant...

That whole some number in some number ratio not being able to properly see 3D best not be me... I hope it isn't a foreshadowing of what's to come! Sony must have some Dream Machine to send off nightmares!!! OMG!

Nah, I kid. And I can see 3D movies, just some of the movies the 3D isn't even... There...

The "Amazing Spiderman" 4D ride was amazing. It was SO realistic. I'll use that instance to keep me from worrying about not seeing 3D...

Also, I usually don't even KNOW that I'm dreaming in my dream. This is really the only time I even noticed that in my dream. Can't believe I was in a hurry to play with my own 3DS before I woke up. I'm laughing about it right now
