Topic: Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden (Oct 16 in EU / Oct 20 in NA)

This really seems like a balls up, Namco havent given any clear answers about getting the SNES game (even before the release date about if you had to get the DBZ 3DS pack, preorder it at a certain place or buy the digital edition)

According to this Namco post (https://www.bandainamcoent.eu/news/2015/10/02/plethora-of-digital-content-for-dragon-ball-z-extreme-butoden/5342:
"To thank all the fans for their support, BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Europe announced that the legendary and praised “Super Butoden 2” *(Super Nintendo) is available from now on, as well as a 3DS theme, when buying the Digital Bundle on the NintendoTM eShop! Gamers pre-ordering the game in physical stores will get the game on its launch."

I pre-ordered mine which arrived on Friday but still havent had any codes for it, Namco hasnt issued any news about it at all, what the heck are they playing at?

Did you pre-order at one of the few stores who participated with the pre-order bonus? I don't imagine people(like me) who ordered at a random store will receive a code.

I preordered on amazon because I couldnt find any information on what stores were offering the preorder bonus(even thier webiste says "Gamers pre-ordering the game in physical stores will get the game on its launch." which makes it seem that you get the SNES game where ever you preorder it

As I said before Namco really didnt give any information about how to get this extra game

I didn't know Amazon pre-orders didn't get there code's yet, but I saw some people on other websites comments sections mention they finally got the codes by mail.

Really? What websites where they out of interest? I'd be interested to know where they preordered them from and if any are from the UK

I very nearly ordered physical as I wasn't sure I'd like the main game. Glad I went with the digital option now.

Best thing you can do is keep on at them (and Bandai Namco). Something similar happened with Amazon and the Batman Blu-Ray boxset which didn't include the advertised Ultraviolet code. Their initial response was along the lines of "yeah... it doesn't include it any more", but after lots of complaints they e-mailed codes out a few weeks later. I hope it can be sorted out quickly for you.

Apparently it's getting an online mode.

The online mode wasn't a make-it-or-break-it thing for me, personally. My brother also bought the game so I'll always have someone to play with. But I'm not gonna lie - knowing now that there will be an online mode makes me very happy. It's awesome. I feel like this game is going to have a long life on the 3DS. It's a great game so far. I love the gameplay - it's deeper than I expected.

Still trying to figure out Super Butoden 2. I used to play this game back in the early 2000's on an emulator, but it's been a while. I can even read some of the Japanese, but I'm still having a tough time. I looked through the manual but it seems that sometimes, the button combos won't work. I know that's not the case; I'm just doing the combos incorrectly. Does anyone know how to play Super Butoden 2? Can someone tell me how to play?

Also, does anyone wanna exchange friend codes in preparation for when the online mode comes out?

well mine just shipped arriving tomorrow along with the collectors edition of revival of F, now i have not receive any code for the Japanese game yet maybe it will come with the shipment or via email after its confirmed its been delivered but if it does not, does anyone know where on amazon.ca do i go to talk to someone about it?

So if you buy the game now physically or digitally will ya be able to get the snes game? if not then they should put it on the eshop for purchase.

Where did you order your copy from? If it was amazon was it US or UK?

i pre @JAG2045: i preordered it from amazon.ca i only did so when i saw the preorder bonus otherwise i wouldnt have bought it right away i guess.

since they shipped my collectors edition of DBZ revival of F along with the game i hoping i dont have to wait too long.

@Undead_terror: nope you can only get the japanese game via preorder they wont ever put it on the store

im one of those ambassadors, though id rather have the price cut and the red 3ds more but that was a nice touch for us poor suckers who bought it at launch

Has anyone receieved their codes for the extra assist characters yet?

There's going to be a november update that will allow croos-play with the upcoming One Piece 3DS game!
