Topic: Download VS Retail Problem Fix

A simple (And Cool!) feature that could solve the Retail VS Digital controversy would be that when you buy the game you get the option to move the data on the cartridge over to your SD card (Or download it, just so long as no one else can download it) and have it there. Then you get the box, the instruction manual, etc. while getting the benefits of buying digital. Games that have been downloaded would be marked (Digitally, and could check by putting the game into a 3DS they have at the place to see if it has been downloaded, just like checking for scratches) so that places where you could trade-in games would know the difference between one that has been downloaded, and wouldn't accept them (So you couldn't buy the game, download and sell it, getting the game for free). What do you think of this idea? Comment below (Or come up with a better one)

My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.

Gamestop would be pissed by this idea. They'd be too lazy to check if it's a download game if someone tries to trade it in. And also, not going to the store is.one of the benefits of downloading games.
Retail FTW!

Yeah, that could hurt the used game market though, as some games could never be traded back in. As a supporter of used games, I'm not big on the idea.

I buy all my games new now, but the used game market (particularly Gamestop, and a local place called Game X Change) is what allowed me to get into gaming as a kid (long story short, I've been able to support my favorite devs now with new purchases, because used purchases got me into them in the first place).

Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

Not any more than buying it digitally. Those games could never be traded in, just like these games. I don't trade games in and if you plan on doing that than you won't be downloading the games from the eShop or from your cartridge. Either way used gaming COULD take a blow.

Nintendo has said that they will let you buy a QR code to download a game in stores. So your idea is kind of pointless except for having the manuals and the box.
