Topic: Don't Know Whether To Buy a 3DS

I really wanted to get one with birthday money but im hesitant to buy one because I'm nervous about the games. It seems like almost no 3rd party support and im afraid after all these games nintendo is planning for it, they might just stop working on the 3ds and focus solely on the wii u..
Is it worth it because im still undecided?

OOT3D makes it worth it.

I think by the end of the year, when Mario and Mario Kart come out, the 3DS will be flying of shelves. and all third party devs will be trying to get a piece of the action.

I'll have to say yes, with the massive amount of 3rd party support coming up over the holidays along with Nintendo's AAA games Mario Kart, Super Mario, OoT, Luigi's Mansion 2 etc. it really is amazing!

Wait you're afraid no more games will come out from third parties because of the Wii U? Pretty certain that didn't happen to the DS, the GBA or the GBC or the GB for that matter. They're two totally different markets.

Buy it. Money doens't care, you use it for things like this.

I will stand against everyone else and say don't buy it. Right now the good games for 3Ds is lacking I'd wait another year when we have more vc games, 3Dsware and more good retail games.

@robbiemactavish: What I've always suggested for others who are unsure about taking the plunge on a new system is to ask yourself whether there are games that are already out that you want.

So, I ask you, can you name 5 games that are out, not coming out or that you're planning to buy with the 3DS necessarily, but 5 that are already released that you'd want. If you can at least do that, I'd say get it.

If you can't, I'd say wait for next year's model. The 3DS and its games will probably be cheaper by then too.

Next, to the person who started this thread, if you are unsure then just wait. For the lack of 3rd party support... it's very early in the life of this system. You can't say that there is no 3rd party support because it's so early. Just wait on it until you see at least a couple games you want really bad for the system, then maybe buy it.

of course i'm srs! teh 3ds grahpix are teh same as teh PSP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
