Topic: Donkey Kong (GB) End Screen

Hi all

Does anyone have any idea how you return to the main menu after the credits roll and you get the "The End" screen on Donkey Kong?
I've tried pressing all the buttons, but don't seem to be able to do anything.

Best thing to do is to open the Virtual Console menu on the touch screen and reset the game. You won't lose any data by doing so. I think that's probably the 2011 equivalent of "turning the Game Boy off".

Ah, the days where "The End" screens meant "You've won the game, now press the reset button!"

Yeah every videogame on a cartridge did that same thing. You gotta reset the game.

hmm.... reset, but my save game only goes to 9-5. Guess there's no actual save point at the end of 9-10, which is weird.

thanks anyway everyone for your advice, guess i'll just have to accept the limitations of a 17 year old game.

Yeah, I thought I might be able to save after the final battle so that I could select my save from save select and get to a level select, but it seems like the save you're left with after beating Donkey for good is only good for replaying 5 bosses. I sat on that "the end" screen trying to figure it out for about 10 minutes!
