Donkey Kong Country Returns is getting a 3D remake. The game's impressive graphics on the Wii is sure to be eye-popping in 3D!

Just one word: YES! Sure I would've preferred an original DK platformer on 3DS, but this will work all the same.

I'm not really sure if I should be excited over this. I love Donkey Kong Country Returns mind you, but I don't care for the 3D (gives me headaches) and it looks like a straight port of said game, so...

Donkey Kong 64 3D would have been better news because the game would have been a remake of an much older game that is only available on the N64, or better yet an original Donkey Kong platformer (but I guess that Retro Studios is too busy with whatever they are developing to make a new Donkey Kong game). But this looks like a straight port of a Wii game with 3D in it. I'll wait for more info before giving judgement though.

I think they've missed a trick by not calling it Donkey Kong Country Returns Returns!

I never got it for Wii, and I play more on handhelds anyway so I'll probably pick this up. I wonder if it's being developed by Retro again, or someone else.

This is exactly what I had been hoping for for years. DKCR would have been a great game, if it wasn't for the terrible idea to use motion controls for the all-important running and rolling moves. Now the game will finally become not just playable and bearable, but gets the chance to shine as a true classic-to-be.

I agree, but DK64 is a lot older and harder to buy these days than DKCR. It would have been more logical to remake DK64 than DKCR. If they include some new content in DKCR 3D, then I might buy it. But this really looks like a straight port.

I have donkey kong country returns - wii game. Love the graphic's! :D Probably won't pick up this game though since I already have the wii version unless there's added content or a online feature if not then it's a pass. Sorry... :$ Just don't want to buy mutliple copies of the same game but just for a different system still nice though to see DK getting some love on the 3DS. :) If it's anything like the wii version for those who haven't played the wii version you'll really like the 3ds version then. Just saying... :)

Happy Gaming! (^_^)

I have the Wii version but I'm still thinking about maybe getting it because having this game everywhere I go would be pretty awesome and I'm sure it would look cool in 3d as well. Plus, it's one of my favourite games of all time :D

To buy or not to buy...? Wouldn't mind giving it another go plus I love the 3D and portable aspects. I think I'll buy it, but overall I don't think did need the remake and would have liked a new game or DCT3D/DK643D. Still excellent news for you guys who haven't played it, though- it's a great game.

Shh! Don't give them ideas like that about the gyro feature! :O

I'd like to say that I recommend my my Backloggery, but I haven't updated it in a long time!

Yes I will re-buy it if only to see the 3d. Love this game. The video looks like its not as sharp as the game will look I hope. Looks a bit muddy!

I may buy this for the sake of having it portable but I already have it on the Wii and it's great.

Classic Sonic will always be the number 1 Sonic! I think Modern Sonic's great but will never beat my original Classic Sonic.

My reason to, also I just loved how the sunset level looked in that game.

Eh, I never played the Wii version so this is alright I guess. It would have been nice to have an all new game for those that have played it already. Or, as suggested above, DK64 would have been amazing.

I'll think of something...
