This whole 3-D thing that Nintendo is pushing isn't real 3D. It's just an optical illusion, you can't turn 2D sprites into 3D. Polygonal 3D is real 3D, since you can actually move your character around 3 dimensional objects. The 3DS is just a marketing hoax.

That's a really... False way to look at it. It is no marketing hoax. Technically, seeing real objects in 3D is a "hoax" by that definition. Our eyes actually see in two dimensions. But since we have two eyes, it looks like we're seeing in 3D. In reality, it's just two 2D images being combined. The 3DS does nearly the exact same thing, just on a screen. We are still seeing the one two dimensional image, sure, but it's the closest we can get to seeing in 3D. So it is no hoax.
However, there is no doubt that 3D images really don't mean much unless the game is in a "3 dimensional" plane. In simpler terms, Super Mario Bros. would not gain much, but Super Mario 64 would gain a lot. That's the best way I can think of to simplify it.

I really like the 2D games redone in 3D. Case and point Wario Land on the Virtual Boy. It definitely makes it look better and easier to play when the background and foreground are more obviously separated. If that wasn't true then why did they bothered with Parallax?
And while people are probably right saying that Donkey Kong Country probably wouldn't benefit that much from the 3D... that doesn't make my point untrue. Because when you take away the Parallax and reduce the contrast between foreground and background it isn't as easy to play. [youtube:k4yIl9L5MNo]
That would be a good idea. I don't know about online multiplayer (mabye local multiplayer) but it would still be cool. There's should be other SNES 3D Classic games now that i'm thinking about it.

fantastic idea....3d rain, pirates, bees, gators, coaster carts...... Remember how amazing those graphics looked when it came out. I felt like i was in the jungle, getting rained on. It was awesome. I think it would be great........ I love remakes and think they have the ability to introduce people to games they either never had a chance to play, or would just love to play again.. and theyre portable...what the hell. all of those are good things

Yes! I forgot about all those cool effects. Nothing looks better in stereoscopic 3D than a semi-transparent effect.
