Hay Community,

Does ist work to patch a Japanese 3DS to a English or German 3DS?
I wanna buy and import a Japanese 3DS from Japan to Germany.
why? Because its cheaper and i wanna have the One Piece Edition. (Only avaible in Japan)
So i dont need the Japanese Firmware.
Does this works?
(And sry if my English isnt the best)

No. And keep in mind that the 3DS is region locked, so if you buy a Japanese 3DS you will ony be able to play Japanese games on it. Same thing goes if you buy an American or European 3DS. So unless you can read Japanese you are better of buying one from Germany.

The Problem is only that in Germany they cost 3x more.

Why does a German 3DS cost 3x more? Isn't Germany Nintendo's 2nd biggest European market after France?

I dont know but if u look for a used Nintendo 3DS on Ebay you will find it for 130€~ and on Japanese Yahoo Auctions you will find a 3DS XL for 50€~

of course japan is cheaper for electronics. but not for food.
