Nope I don't regret it. Games such as Kid Icarus, Super Mario 3D Land and Mariokart 7 are brilliant and the list of games coming out this year has me waiting in anticipation. The games at the moment will keep me entertained until then.

I misread, I bought mine on April 4th

April 4th 2011...It took you nearly a year to bring up mostly hardware complaints for the system? Have you not played any games on the 3DS during this period?

I don't regret buying the system, since there isn't another system out there that offers the same experience as my 3DS. What I do feel sour about is that Nintendo is treating the system fairly poorly. 3DS show-stoppers have been a handful and (very) far between, 3DS eShop & 3DSVC offerings have leaved much less to be desired, and the overall pace of development is not as rapid as it's previous systems. Nintendo seems to be gearing up for the Wii U launch this E3, but still I hope things pick up and fast. I can't keep playing Mutant Mudds, puzzle games, 2 remade classics & the other 2 3DS games all year..

the only regret that I have is that I didn't buy mine at launch. I really wanted it when I heard it was coming out. But now I got an ambassador 3DS. I'm just waiting for it to come in the mail. I also have the flame red one which I didn't get until November. I love the 3DS and all the games that are coming out make me really excited for the 3DS.

Want: Harvest Moon: One World, Story of Seasons: Pioneering Town, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury

Finished the Alola Dex.
Now playing New Horizons, Wrath of White Witch and Sword

The 3DS has been out for a year now, but the only game I've bought is Resident Evil Revelations. I have Ocarina of Time, but apart from it being a remake, which I've played to death, I got it with my 3DS as a bundle and so it doesn't count.

Renting some games might help you two out. Metal Gear Solid 3D, Super Street Fighter 4, DOA Dimensions, Tales of the Abyss, and Kid Icarus are some suggestions. Then you could get excited for Unchained Blades, Rune Factory 4, Fire Emblem Awakening, Code of Princess, Etrian Odyssey 4--and more.

If your primary reason for buying the 3DS was the stereoscopic 3D then I don't blame you. You might want to think about trading it in for the Vita which may be more your style.

No. I don't regret it. I just wish I wouldn't have put so much hope into the Gameboy Virtual console games since they don't release them in North America for some odd reason.

No I don't regret buying mine at all!

Got it during that small window where some stores priced dropped early and I was still able to get in on the Ambassador Program. It's never hurt or even bothered my eyes. I play with 3D on max all the time.

I've had hours of fun with Nintendogs, Pilotwings, Zelda, Starfox, Mario, Mario Kart and now Kid Icarus. Not to mention over 30 eShop games (counting Ambassador). With so many more Nintendo franchises on the way, there will be no shortage of good games to play.

I've had over a hundred unique StreetPasses from several different countries. I take my 3DS with me everywhere I go. I love my 3DS, it's my favorite system ever!

The 3DS is a very poorly designed console I think. It's very uncomfortable to hold, the 3d effect is useless because of the poor viewing angles, battery life is too short and the top screen has gotten quite loose. Oh, and there's also the lower-screen-scratches-top-screen-problem too. But I don't regret buying it simply because of the games - so many good ones out there and more to come. Really enjoying Kid Icarus atm and the eShop is great too. But I do hope Nintendo makes a better version of 3DS at some point and fixes all the hardware problems.

Interesting to hear the varied opinions.

I don't regret getting my 3DS at all. It was purchased in the short window where gamers could get both the price drop and Ambassador games. Although recent sale prices have made it possible to get a system for considerably less than I paid, the free software totally makes up for that. The hardware design does have some issues that bother me... but the amount of time I've spent using the system easily justifies the investment, even if I need to replace it later. Most importantly, I feel that 3DS has a bright future and look forward to playing a number of 3DS exclusive titles coming out over the next year.

Best handheld I've owned. There are always so many things to do when I open the lid that I can't even keep up. My notifications and games constantly back up on me when I don't have time to pay full attention.

To be honest I think the system is pretty under rated.
