If you get 10 games out of it, wouldn't you call that worthwhile? I'll never understand why people don't think it's worthwhile if they don't get literally 1000000000 games, and a new one each week, out of something.
Agreed. In fact, I think people need to prepare themselves for the 3DS VC being on a much smaller scale than the Wii VC. I see maybe seven or eight games at launch and maybe a total of 15 or 20 within a year of launch. On the other hand, I think DSi will eventually be huge on the 3DS, much bigger than it is now. Of course, lots of 3d shovelware.
Pokemon alone makes it worthwhile. Get those out quickly and allow multiplayer and it will, without a doubt, be really successful. For 3rd party, I'd want Shantae on the GBC really quickly. Never got a chance to play it. Also, Game Gear, GBA, and Neo Geo Pocket are all pretty much garaunteed down the road.

Oh well, DSiWare is mostly 2D shovelware, at least we'll have gained a dimension of craptastic-ness

Your can't have the Game Boy Adavance because it's the last generation like GameCube being too new. Unless they count the 3DS as the nest generation handheld.
There is no such stupid rule. I really hope Nintendo are smart enough to not only add Advance, but also DS aswell as retail 3DS games. I mean, it has been possible to download PSP games via PSN for years now. Nintendo should try to be up to date.
Also: GB has really low resolution and you either have to play them in tiny boxes with huge frames or uprerssed with ugly filters. Playing GB on 3DS is on no way ideal. As for now i prefer playing GB games on an emulator, using my DSi XL. The real potential lies in Nintendo eventually releasing console games. 3DS is Nintendo's first Nintendo handhel to have a resolution high enough for SNES. Those games would simply look gorgeous.
Yeah I'm waiting for the GBA, if I can't get it on the Wii's VC...then having Yoshi's Island on the 3DS is just as good. Always wanted to see that game in 3D, lol.

I'm pretty excited about it now, being that I never had a Gameboy or Gameboy Color growing up and I'd love to play all those Marios and Zeldas that I missed. I just wonder if the monochromatic visuals and archaic bleeps and boops for music will hold my interest now in 2010. Keep in mind, I'm DEFINITELY not one of those graphics trolls who needs HD this and the best of that; I'm 28 years old so my earliest memories of gaming revolve around Pac-Man and Asteroids. I just hope those black and green graphics don't give me too many headaches. hahaha.

@geek_master That game was great! just need to be fixed for tall instead of wide like a pinball table. We need more games from fuse. I wanna see MPP2 Echoes with an alternative dark table on every one. @Mickeymac give the wikipedia bashing a rest. it's mostly accurate and cites other sites.

But where are they getting the information about these generations? What differetiates one generation from another? I've read the articles and looked at the sources, and it seems to me like Wikipedia invented the entire system.
