Not for mii, you could only get scratches if you a very rough which means you are forcefully pushing the stylus into the touch screen...even then I don't think you would get bad scratches but don't try it.

Nope, never used a screen protector and all my handheld's are in showroom condition several years down the line.
In contrast to my teenager son, I'm quite obsessive with how I threat my devices.
using screen protectors on both screens. always. had A LOT of scratches from playing theatrrhythm games, had to replace the protector already twice cause i couldn't see anything anymore but the screen itself remained untouched, so I recommened using some protection

I use screen protectors because I already had to send my 3DS in for repair after it got the scratch lines from the bottom screen. Not sure if it's helping or not, but there are definitely lines in the screen protector, so I assume it's helping.
My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.
i ordered one (hori) for my next 'new 3ds' and i hope i can apply it flawlessly at first try. if i fail maybe i will go 'naked'. play the games with stylus with my old 3ds and no stylus with the new 3ds. i know they make the tutorial of attaching the protector so easy, but in reality you can screw it up.
i know the new 3ds hasnt been announced for the US but i like to be prepared, so i ordered it, with a case too.

Im using one on my WiiU Gamepad, since Monster Hunter 3U came with one. I used it, because i mainly operate the gamepad with my fingers, so it gets greasy quick, and constant wiping isnt really that healthy for the naked screen.
My 3DS is still unprotected though, and neither my day1 classic 3DS, nor my day1 XL have any scratches ar marks what so ever.

I do on my touch screens but not on "not-touch" ones. i only regret not using any on my regular 3DS because the rim around the touch screen left scratch-like marks on the top screen which are very noticeable :/

Same on both counts.
If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.
