I am fine with the graphics and the 3D makes it come alive and is needed with the lack of anti-aliasing. I hate how obsessed with graphics everyone is, as long as it is above SNES level and it does not make it hard to see something, I do not care how they are. The change to HD makes it hard on developers and killed games like TimeSplitters!

I would like to point out that 2 years ago Nintendo released a 3D sequel system to the popular DS platform that immediately had issues. First of all, the 3D is not the best and few games have had it add anything at all to the experience beyond maybe a cool factor at points for graphics, despite new gimmicks adding to the experience being the main reason for Nintendo's success in the past decade. It was immediately buried for a lackluster lineup in which they had to remake their games from the late 90s to sell anything before Mario came to save the day. This led to an unprecedented immediate price drop and a huge thank you of 20 Nintendo games, including GBA (a platform still not even supported on VC) for people who did buy it ASAP. Meanwhile it was competing with HD Vita with a lot of hype and a great launch lineup.

2 years later it is the only console (barring the PS3) both still getting games and consistently well liked by gamers, Even barring its ludicrous domination in Japan, a remake of a Wii game you likely already bought with worse graphics led to it being the best selling system of May 2013. Meanwhile Vita is doomed as a real serious competitor to 3DS success, which is why Sony is retconning the whole thing as a half system/half add-on for Ps3/4. Vita, a system that is still being seen as a better home for indies than iOS.

So yes, I think the graphics are good enough.

I like these graphics a lot, but if I were to answer your question I would say no. I mean isn't life all about improving? So is it enough? No because as time goes by Nintendo will probably release a next gen handheld which will be even more powerful than this one and I'm pretty sure none of us are gonna say "man why are they making even better graphics they should have just stuck with the graphics they had on the 3DS." Also the Vita shows there's still room for improvement. I like the graphics but I would have preferred if they would have sacrificed the 3D screens for more power I mean even Nintendo said they were rather pointless.

All this take about graphics... Art will always trump graphics in my opinion. Just cause something is pushing super hi-res textures and uber pixel shaders on dx11 blah blah blah... if the game looks good, it looks good. Heck I'm happy with the way Cavestory looks on WiiWare!

I like the graphics, yeah. I mean, I won't protest when the next handheld has even better ones (maybe Wii U level?) but I'm fine with these. They're really pretty in most games.

I wish the sweet spot for the 3D was larger, though. I find myself not really using it much.

I honestly thought 3DS was a huge improvement. There were rumors of it being close graphically to Xbox 360 and PS3 with 3D graphics before it came out.
It was able to play Super Street Fighter IV 3D in a slightly less degree of the console version(which has improved since then I'm sure), so that was a pretty good sign 3DS had graphics that could keep up.
There's always gonna be a game system stronger than another, so Sony constantly trying to outdo themselves isn't that bad.

For the price, yeah. I'd rather have a game system I can afford, than one with "better" graphics, since "better" is subjective anyway.

RE Mercs & Revelations are the only real showcase of what the 3DS is capable of achieving. But everything seems to have gone back to bland DS graphics... Cult County & Moon might take it back to that RE level hopefully

I like the graphics, can't complain at all.

To me it looks like the Wii. For example MK7, looks like MKW to me, runs at 60fps at all times with 3d on, with 8players online. That's pretty impressive.

3DS low graphics its is main strength because of its lower graphics games are cheaper to make so its the only platform for which releasing third party exclusives makes sense

of course this only applies to handhelds(aparently)
but yeah it's a small screen why the hell would HD be necessary!?!?!??!??!?!?! the human eyes can't even take full advantage of it! just tiny bit better than the 3DS and those graphics will look like HD and will still be cheaper than it!

Totally satisfied here as well. In fact, and this may sound strange, but I think I'll miss them when the next resolution and poly-bump come along in that space and especially if there's no autostereoscopy

Yes.

And for the record, the 3DS has slightly more processing power than the Wii, but it has a lower native resolution so games aren't really going to look much better. Not that that really matters though. Just look at the DS vs the PSP, that proved that power doesn't really matter as much in the handheld market.
