I really enjoy the 3D, it doesn't give me any eyestrain or anything, and I used to use it for the majority of the time, but I play mostly in 2D now.
My 3D slider stopped working months ago for some reason, and it won't turn the 3D effect off, so I had to go into the parental controls to shut it off, and I don't feel like having to quit the game everytime I want to switch between 2D & 3D.
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
It is a little hard to stay in one position when I am playing games, but I mostly play on 3D.
Flandre- "I've been in the basement. For about 495 years."
Marisa- "That's sweet, I only get weekends off."

Marisa- It's so hot, I'm gonna die here.
Reimu- If you die, I'll feed your corpse to the birds.
Remilia- My, it'd be fine if you'd let me take care of tha...
I love how it helps separate everything into its place in the environment. In 2D, things are muddier since they're all grouped together. In 3D, the game world opens up and you get to see more of it. Anytime I switch to 2D it feels weird.
Unfortunately, my lifelong eye condition prevents me from seeing a 3D effect. It would be certainly interesting to see the 3D effect, but it wasn't a deal breaker in purchasing the handheld. I'm more than happy with the 2D gaming the 3DS provides.
As long as my battery isn't low and I don't have a headache, I play everything in 3D. Except for Skylanders: Giants and Heroes of Ruins, which both have sucky graphics and 3D effects. I can barely tell the difference in those games. At least in NSMB2, churning up 3D adds background effects(I wouldn't use the 3D in that game, but I think the blurred background look awesome).
Depends on the game, some use it rather well and therefore compliments the gameplay, while some games like Animal Crossing I'll just play 2D, I see no point in having the 3D on, on that game since it is no way changing up the game or making it more interesting.
Always 3d, except for Project X Zone sometimes. It's like HD. It doesn't really add gameplay-wise (with a few exceptions like Mario 3d land - the isometric parts; Luigi's Mansion - the fake walls and paintings; and now Mario & Luigi - the battles where you don't have to avoid everything when you see it's going to miss anyway), it's just there to make it look better. And in many cases it does.

I never play in 3d.ive tried all my games in 3d tho but Tbh I don't think it "enhances" the gameplay in anyway and I think it's kinda a useless feature. Drains battery fast... forces you to stay in a stiff position and strains eyes. No thanks
Well I've never gotten a headache (or any other adverse effects) from using 3D, and I love the effect, so I have it on all the time. I know turning the 3D effect off can increase the frame rate of games; but to me its not worth the sacrifice.
I almost always play in 3d. No headach and I naturally play with the console in the sweet spot anyways.
The only game I some times play in 2d is mario kart.
I tend to get overly excited playing and move around. The wife thinks its funny to watch. Lol
