If I had one, I would totally let friends use it but not borrow it (because maybe I will want to play it). People who are good friends could borrow games though. I know I'm going to see them again, so I'd be able to get them back if I wanted.

I don't have a 3DS but I wouldn't if I did. I tend to find that I have higher standards regarding the condition of my stuff than a lot of other people, and a few things I've lent in the past have come back damaged.
Consequently, I don't do it any more...

no way. my 3DS is like my tooth brush. borrow the games, i dont mind as long as you dont touch my save files, but my 3DS.... NOOOO anyway, its always in my pocket, almost becoming a part of my body
I've let some of my family and friends use it for a few minutes. but i have to be like, 2 inches away from them so i know they're handling it properly. :3

I never let anyone borrow a current gen system that I use on a regular basis, but sure they can use it anytime they want if they're visiting and stuff. The first week I had my 3DS I was staying my family's cottage with a friend, and I'm sure he used my 3DS more than me. Also, I am like my friends' game library, they can borrow games anytime they want. As long as I'm not currently playing it and they don't touch my save files, of course.

I let my friends try my 3DS out for a few minutes to see how it feels and looks (especially the 3D effect) but I NEVER lend it to anyone whatsoever. Also, when someone else is using it, I have to stay right by them to make sure they use it correctly. I might let friends borrow my DS games for up to a day depending on how generous I'm feeling.
