Same here. I find that a light touch is the most effective.

Mine usually takes some time to turn on, maybe you just need to wait instead of pressing it several times.

Bloop.

I rarely turn mine off. I usually leave it plugged in while playing it.

Nope, can't say I've had any power button related issues. If I were you though, I might consider getting Nintendo to fix it. Once one thing goes wrong, it sometimes doesn't take long for everything else to follow suit...

Yes, this happens every so often with my current 3DS. It usually occurs when I haven't turned it on for a while like when I let it charge overnight and then I try turning it on the next day. I press the power button and hold it for a while but if it does not respond I press it again. It usually turns on after the second or third press. When I had my original launch system I never had this problem. As long as it still turns on I'm good, I just hope that this power button issue doesn't get any worse.

Great way to ruin your battery.

Not really. The 3DS's batteries are different. You can charge them and leave them on as much as you want and they won't deteriorate.

Could you back that up with an official statement from Nintendo please? :3 (I'm so paranoid about leaving it in sleep mode for too long.)

Yeah. But it only takes 2 times for me and sometimes it works with just one.

The 3DS was designed to stay in sleep mode, just like the Wii. While in sleep mode, the 3DS uses very little power, this conserves battery life.

It's the same concept as leaving a laptop in sleep mode.

Sometimes I'll press it....and nothing will happen so I have to press it a second time and it works.

Bit annoying..

Haven't encountered anything like this yet on my 3DS. It works like it should.

It's its, not it's.

Can I just say that the 3DS battery won't be "ruined" by leaving it on charge, leaving it on standby or similar. Not for the reasons on the previous page though, the 3DS isn't "special" it's battery is just the same as every other Li-Ion battery on the market. If you want your battery to last as long as possible probably the best thing to do is to leave it on standby as much as you want, doesn't matter, but charge it to three quarters rather than full when you want it charged.

but I wouldn't bother....... I like having the ability to play for as long as possible away from power whenever I want. Nothing wrong with charging and playing either BTW.
