The so called Disney's own version of "Animal Crossing" will be available today and based on the trailer the game does look interesting! Wife has been waiting the release of this game since the day she saw the trailer, so I am going to pick one up for her after I'm off work today. Depends on how the game feels, I might get one for myself..?

So, are you guys going to pick one up? For the people who already bought the game, is it any good?

Well being a big Disney Fan myself and I do enjoy life sims like Harvert Moon and such I have been thinking of picking this one up. Especially after the great review NL gave it.

Yeah but the main focus of this game (from what I see) are managing the cafe and make new clothes....if it were Harvest Moon-ish with in depth farming and interaction, I would be all over it.

I would get this one during a sale. i haven't even opened my copy of Animal Crossing New Leaf anyway.

Overall the game has been getting good reviews, but I am not a huge Disney fan. I still have a soft spot for them.

I will comment in this thread, never being able to find it again.

I have heard that there is a farming section in it as well now I am not sure if it is as in depth as HM or what but along with that there are alot of things this game has to offer. At least that's what @Ron_DelVillano said in his review.

@Barbiegurl777 Thank you for your information! If you don't mind me asking, what do those AR cards add to the game? Extra characters and stuff?

I was able to find their site finally... I couldn't find it over Google!

http://disneymagicalworld.nintendo.com/#bonus-items

There is the Seasonal Set - Easter which is $1, and a Café set - Sleeping Beauty which is $2.

Well, considering the game came out last year in Japan, yeah. Although I wasn't really thrilled finding out about paid DLC either after playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf. @_@;

Whoa that's sad. My wife was the first customer to buy that game at my local EB...so funny.

I actually think the game is pretty fun thus far. I like the crafting system, the game itself is relatively relaxing (except when there's a quest deadline and you can't get the required materials yet), and it just feel like there's so much to do and collect. It's probably not deep enough for most hardcore gamers (I give bonus points for Disney), but it's deeper than I expected. The light RPG parts provide a nice change of pace. I honestly feel a little silly being a 25 year old male playing this but hey, when Mickey asks me to find materials to make a toy for Pluto, I feel like a kid again. Don't worry Mickey, I'd do anything for Pluto!

Everyone has a soft spot for Pluto . Wife is loving the game so far, but she kept making comparison with ACNL. She mentioned that ACLF has a smoother gameplay while Disney Magical World feels laggy?

I wonder if I can have Uncle Scrooge as a neighbor, so I can dive into his money vault.

For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday.

I got this day 1 and when I first started it I thought - boy did I just waste good money on this? I stuck with it for a little bit and decided 'Ok it's not bad. Time to take a break.' I saved my game and looked at the clock. An hour and a half had passed. Holy crap how did that happen? This game gets you without you knowing it.

There is a bit of noticeable lag - mainly when running through Castleton.

The first Target I went to didn't get any the day it came out. I had to go to another Target.

Probably not a big deal, but I've encountered two bad glitches. The first was at the end of a quest in the RPG section of Cinderella's world, the requirement was to defeat every enemy and I had just finished the last boss (there was multiple bosses in the quest) when it happened. I "opened" a chest that appeared and the sound of it opening played but it didn't open and it wouldn't let me interact with it anymore. The big chest that appears for completing the quest spawned invisibly, though I could tell where it was because it appeared on the map and I couldn't walk through where it should be, but I couldn't open it. An I invisible wall trapped me in the room so I couldn't go back, I couldn't pause, and the portal to leave the quest area wouldn't work. I had to simply restart the game because I couldn't even end the quest (though I preferred it that way since I missed so much loot in the chests due to the glitch). I didn't encounter that glitch when I retried the quest.

The other glitch was smaller, when I left my cafe and the loading screen appeared, I got stuck. It loaded the music for the area and the loading animation kept playing, but after about 15 minutes I decided it wasn't ever gonna finish loading and had to restart. Thankfully, the game auto saves fairly frequently and both times I didn't have nearly as much to redo as I feared, but figured I'd share this info.

I will note that I've poured dozens of hours into the game already so it's not like the glitches are frequent, nor have I managed to reproduce either so they likely were freak things and not serious bugs. I'm still seriously loving this Disney magic and would be ecstatic if this became a full series, my only disappoint thus far is the lack of many worlds (aside from the hub, there's 4 Disney worlds, though I read a fifth will be available through DLC).

Gutted that this doesn't seem to have an EU release date on the cards. Would certainly give it a go
