Originally, they had planned to remake V and VI onto the DS, but due to "technical limitations", they could not. However, they were keeping a watchful eye on the 3DS, with the possibility of transferring development over to that. This was back in April 2010, 2 1/2 years ago. Has anything been said since then?

I imagine that Square was pretty busy with Bravely Default, Theatrhythm and the various FFXIII games in the past year and a half, so they could still be looking to make it.

It's a shame because I always wanted a FFV remake. Of all the Final Fantasy games it is the one I wanted most to be remade.
