Topic: Depth 3D and "Pop-out" 3D, will games on the 3DS be limited to only one type?

I took a trip to Best Buy recently and expierienced the 3DS for the first time. "Pilotwings Resort" was shown as a demo on the 3DS and I was blown away my the realistic 3D visuals.On the other hand, my brother was not. He was expecting the 3D effect to "come out of the 3DS screen," but instead, the "Depth 3D" acted only like a window into a new universe...Pilotwings Resort, Super Street Fighter 4 3D and other 3D games have been said to have "Depth" 3D...
(Pop-Out 3D is like the 3D effect shown in movie theaters, btw) The 3D depth effect in Pilotwings certainly gave me a lasting impression on how awesome the 3DS is, but i'm afraid that too many people think that the 3DS's 3D visuals will be just like a movie theater...that could leave them to be dissapointed when they find out its not like the 3D effect in the movies, just like how my brother dissapointed....
I'm basically wondering if there will be any 3DS games that support "Pop-out" 3D visuals/ or "Pop-out visuals" & "Depth" 3D?

I think all 3DS games will have depth 3D and some will have pop-out 3D too for certain features.

Nintendogs has depth 3D until your dog jumps up and licks your face. Then it has pop-out 3D as well.

From what I heard (take this with a grain of salt) apparently Rayman 3D has this one part where you're riding on these rockets, and it produces a pop-out effect.

I could be wrong, it's only what I've heard. But there will be games that will feature pop-out effects, I'm sure. Since it's literally as if the 3D glasses are on the screen than on your eyes

I've read that Bust a Move 3D has a fantastic pop-out 3D effect on it. So if that is true, the 3DS obviously is capable of it. I'm sure we'll see more examples of pop 3D down the road.

Interesting, In my honest opinion, I feel as if the "Pop-out" 3D effect will leave a lasting impression on people. I think Nintendo should implement more "pop-out" 3D though....Oh, and thanks guys...

@Otaku: Lol, its so annoying! My comments when playing the 3DS were "Woooaaaah" & "How do they do this?"...my brothers were "the 3D dosen't work" & "wtf, I pre-ordered for this?!" but then again, he was moving around like a maniac he was trying to find the "sweet spot"...

Oh actually, you just reminded me, Paper Mario 3D will have pop-out effects. One was "kinda" demonstrated when you kill an enemy, and it flies towards you, giving out a pop-out effect. So yeah, Nintendo will use it more often soon, give a couple months, lol

A couple of months?...I'll go cancel my 3DS pre-order right now! lol, but seriously, I wonder if Mario will have a "pop-out 3D effect, maybe like his shadow makes it Pop-out 3D'ish...idk, i'm just relieved to hear that there some form of Pop-out 3d on the 3DS.

I wouldn't cancel right now, due to the fact it may be possible it might become sold out for awhile like the wii did back then. Plus the Virtual Console is launching in May, Gameboy games in 3D? Iunno about you, but I like that idea XD

and I think Mario games will def. be pop-out-ish, I know Paper Mario will, for sure. But yeah, just imagine that it's the same effects as 3D glasses, but the glasses are on the screen, they're just playing around with 3D right now P: June is when the real 1st party games (like Mario) come out

If you're colorblind, can you still see 3D? I dunno if you know but i've been wondering since i have a friend that's colorblind. She has a DS and may be getting the 3DS....

Either way, with the "pop out" or depth 3D, i really don't care as long as it's a good-looking 3D.

I've heard its mostly depth but there are many things that do come out. But I really don't know.

Seeing Waiting until the 3DS has been out for a year or so is believing finding out the answer to your question.
