You know that Dead Space game that was on android and apple products?

I'm honestly surprised this series didn't die after the Wii game's sales. The original wasn't some huge hit or anything and this is EA, so I'm confused.

I've heard some good things about the game. And while I'm not interested in playing another full Dead Space game, a 3 hour downloadable game would be fun.

Nah, my therapist told me that I would go genuinely insane if I tried to correct every factually incorrect statement masquerading as an "opinion" that I came across, so I'm trying to rein myself in a bit.

It's hard, but then I remind myself of the millions and millions of people who enjoy gaming on iOS and I feel vindicated.

So... that post of yours is not insanity for you? Right... I know for a fact you want to give him a factual beating, but whatever floats your boat.

I'm just saying that if you pay 69p for a game, you get a game worth 69p. The dead space games need a good surround sound system, and a large screen to get the most out of them. I have never played dead space on IOS, but it can not match the proper dead space games, I always have my vita and 3ds in the same bag as my phone, so I don't use my phone for gaming, because I have better options. Mobil phone games are dire.

Not all IOS games are terrible. The overwhelming majority? Yes. But not all.

There are a handful that I wish would come to 3DS eShop, but I'm not holding my breath. Most of the ones I want are niche titles that probably wouldn't find the added development expense and reduced customer base appealing. Others would be strapped by the limited online culture of 3DS. Others wouldn't look good with the higher pricing standards (a steal at $1-3, but not so hot when you are closer to $10).

In the end, I have two choices: accept that I'm going to miss some good games, or buy an IOS device and play them there. 3DS meets all of my needs easily, so Apple can kiss my...

I don't think Dead Space will come on the eShop for a very long time, mainly because it's published by EA, and I just don't see them trying to optimize it for the 3DS. And they would have to alter it, since the game was made with the iphone 4 in mind, and the 3DS actually isn't as powerful as the iphone 4 in most respects.
It is a good game though, considering it launched at $7 (I think). Compared to the consoles it isn't great, but where it's at it's just fine.

In regards to iOS gaming in general, I tried out iOS gaming awhile ago, and while yes, I was dissapointed by the majority of what I got, there were some fun experiences.

Most of what I got was forgettable, and more often than not, I was dissapointed by games that were supposed to be good (Angry Birds, Jetpack Joyride, and N.O.V.A. in particular).

However, I highly enjoyed Chaos Rings (heck, I would easily pay $40 for a 3DS copy of the entire trilogy, if it were ever released. The games each launched on iOS for $12 each if i'm not mistaken, so the price would actually even out pretty decently). I enjoyed :Shift: as well (I really enjoyed the free flash game, and figured $1 wasn't a bad deal for a portable copy I could play anywhere). Despite not liking Jetpack Joyride, I loved Action Hero, another "endless runner" (by Donut Games). Of course, I enjoyed Tetris as well (they've been doing it so long, I doubt they could make a crappy version on any device, no matter what it is).

There was also some samurai game, but I can't remember the name... (liked it, though).

Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

Weirdly enough, my favorite iOS game was a free game called PewPew. It was basically geometry wars, but it controlled incredibly well. I don't know how that one dev on that game is the only one to get dual stick controls right.
I also really enjoyed Hook Champ.
But yeah, the best games in general are the ones that take advantage of the device's strengths, but some of the ones that do don't really have a strong base. Thus porting over the best iOS games would kind of be pointless, since most of them wouldn't work on another system.
Seriously, though, I have no idea why Square Enix doesn't put Chaos Rings on the eShop. The device is more than capable of pulling the games off, or at least the first one.
