Topic: Dead or Alive Dimensions question

So im thinking about getting the game, but wanted to know if you are able to still get the free costumes from street pass or is it over.

They were originally going to end distribution (after a 2nd runthrough) in November of last year, but I know they added extra runthroughs into this year, but I'm not sure if they're still doing it.

I've heard people who recently got it complain about not getting some extra costumes, so I'd assume no.

I think it's over. I haven't gotten a SpotPass notification in about a month or two.

Now I don't feel like I should get the game

Considering I had to buy it at $40 instead of $20, it seems fair. I get cool costumes for supporting Tecmo more.

I wouldn't mind buying the costumes from the eshop, we have the technology!

You're saying it wrong. It's not "free", it's "exclusive".
I also got it significantly earlier, which is more the reason than anything else. Plus, because of this game, I'm super hyped for DOA 5. I'd say the enjoyment I've gotten out of it (over 100 hours) was worth what I paid.

Why should Tecmo Koei support you when you didn't buy their game at full price?

I wholeheartedly support any publisher that chooses to reward people who pay fair price for a game.

I would buy the game at full price just to get any extras but if I buy it and can't get these costumes anyway possible, it feels like its not a complete game so im willing to pay extra for these costumes.

Don't worry, the extra costumes do not break the experience. I was on vacation when they started the free DLC, so I had to wait until the 2nd wave to get my costumes. And to be honest, the costumes didn't do much for the game. They were neat additions, but don't let not having them decide your purchase. The core fighting system and the addictive online mode is more than enough reason to get this fighter. Don't let some silly costumes get in the way between you and a kick ass fighter like this

To be fair both Lei Fang and Hitomi have downloadable costumes that make the game worth playing.

I think you should still get the game. The SpotPass costumes are cool, but they're not game changing. I didn't even know I'd get costumes when I got the game.

It's a great, fun game, so don't let this ruin your experience. I got Chronicles Samurai Warrior the day they stopped giving out SpotPass goodies, but I still love the game.

I have gotten the game late, and still got the DLC for it.
Got it for $20 new, and the costumes just download on its own.
I don't know if they stop or not, or is there more?

It's a brilliant game,even without some of the brilliant DLC costumes (especially the female costumes),I should think it's real cheap now in America so get it,and experience the 3D Jiggly-ness that is Dead or Alive Dimensions.
