I don't know what this is but it has a following from the looks of it, and it looks kinda fun. Someone fill me in?

Might pick this Game up, since i'm a 3DS Collector, but i'm not sure if i'm gonna play it that much.
This certenly looks like a fun concept, but the Card Illustrations are kinda boring. Would be nice if they put a Demo of this on the eShop, so people could get a taste of how this Game plays.

I got this game, and I absolutely love it. It's Monopoly meets Magic the Gathering.

You build a deck of 50 cards from which you use on the board. You land on spaces and can put your monsters from your deck on the space. If your opponent lands on the space, they either pay a toll or they can try to take the space with their own monster card. The play continues until a player reaches the magic needed to win the game.

You get in game "gold" to buy new packs of cards. You can customize your deck with the cards you get. You can also have more than one deck to choose from.

There is an online component as well we're you can play your friends or random players. At the point of me writing this, I haven't unlocked the online component yet, as I just got the game.

It's a great game to be able to pick up and play a short game, which fits really well with my hectic life.

I spend more time customizing my decks than playing sometimes lol

I am loving this game. I opted out of getting the limited edition that came with the art book, soundtrack, dice, and cards, because I didn't think I would like it. I now regret that decision.

I'm not that far into the story. I had some trouble on the Zonx and Yuma battle, but I just got past that and the one after. This game can be frustrating at times, but it is so addicting at the same time.

Edit: I found some of the limited editions still on Amazon at regular price so I got one. I blame JaxonH for this behavior, he's a bad influence 😉. I'm gonna let my niece play a couple games on my game and if she likes it I'll give her the new one and I'll have someone too play against 😄. If she doesn't like it I'll take the new game to best buy with the first receipt and try to get my $32 back.

Coupla questions.

I am a guy who enjoys Magic The Gathering a lot. Does this game have enough components to the card-game aspect of it to make it comparable in strategy-level to MTG or is it a pretty simplistic card game?

How is the replay-ability on this if you subtract the online component? Are the AI pretty good?

Those who have it what would you rate as its top qualities and as its shortcomings?

Thanks.

@SMEXIZELDAMAN Sorry for this long post buddy, but you asked for it. 😘
I don't know anything about magic the gathering so I'll just tell you how battling works in this game.
When another player (ceptor) lands on a space occupied by a creature you own a battle starts. Each creature has its own hp and strength (st). The creature you own can add to it's hp automatically if it's element matches that of the space it's guarding. You can add to this if you level up that land as well. Okay, so the other ceptor can play a creature from their hand and equip it with an item (axe, sword, hammer, magic scroll) and attack your creature, which you can also equip with a shield if you have one in your hand to add even more hp to your creature, and if their attack lowers your creatures hp down to zero it will take that land.
Creatures and items have abilities that will help in battle. Drill Lance (item) has the ability Penetrate, that negates hp gained from land bonus. Cait Sait (creature) has an ability that neutralizes attacks from creatures with st greater than 40. Those are just a couple things that you would need to pay attention to if you battle an enemies creature. I know I've lost a few battles due to not knowing the ability of an item or creature that the enemy has.
The main quest in this game is used to slowly introduce new mechanics like secret arts, which are found on creatures and are used as spells at the start of your turn, and evo cards, which is a creature you add to your book and it gets stronger as you battle and win then you can build up so it'll have as much hp and st as you want and any ability. But, I'm having a lot of fun just playing the main quest and I know I'm not planning to get online and get destroyed anytime soon. I personally think the ai is just right as far as difficulty goes, but that's because i suck at this game. Other people I've seen online say it's too easy and that the ai never poses any sort of challenge or raises their land level while here i am looking at this level 5 land the ai just set up on me. As you continue to play you unlock the characters from the story mode to choose to play against in free play mode. You can also play against a friend that also has the game locally and add in the aforementioned ai characters from the story for a more interesting game.
This game is mostly luck based so some battles will feel unfair and hard while other later battles might feel like a cakewalk due to the other ceptor not having any cards they can use right away. So far, I'm really liking this game despite this though.

its a great startegy game all around really. ai is decent enough imho, ive had many compelling battles with it. the core gameplay is simple to understand, but fairly deep strategically because of the random cards from your deck that you have in hand at any given time. this makes deck building a big part of the fun
nice character/card art, sprites, music, story and amount of content all make it a package worth owning if you like startegy or tabletop style gameplay, also has a very nice LE

This game is great. Its like a Fortune St. RPG. I coulda popped for the limited edition for 3 bucks more online but I bought it at the store. I probably made a bad choice also. I didnt think this game would be this good. But Gamestop has already delisted it according to the guy working there so its probably a collectable for sure.

I heard that later on you've got to really make your deck very intentionally, with an overarching strategy that the cards you select should contribute to. I'm not too far yet, so I can't say.
