@feder Yeah, unless you can find a Best Buy-like deal before the 12th. But if you don't want the free games, like I said, no harm in waiting. Like GameMonkey said, Cave Story is an awesome action-adventure game similar to Metroid.
I'd say don't do it right now. Wait for the Vita to come out and see which appeals to you more. At the moment you're not really missing anything on the 3DS, although that may change in a year or so.

I guess he's right but don't forget all the great ds games. People seem to forget those.
I suppose it would be what the DSi was to me, I wasn't sure about the DSi but when I got it, I loved it.

Well that makes things more complicated. Judging from your avatar, you're a Zelda fan, right? There's Ocarina of Time, now not butt ugly and with a non-buggy Water Temple. I also know you're an RPG fan. There's Tales of the Abyss, which would be good to take on the go. Then there's Devil Survivor Overclocked, which has a bunch of extras and is fully voiced.
Those NES games are so cheap by today's gaming standards that's it's almost a joke. To bad Nintendo doesn't give us a voucher for a free copy of a game like Super Mario 3D Land but we all know that's not happening!
Anyway, RPG's are fine but man there are so many other great reasons to buy a 3DS such as Cave Story 3DS and Mario Kart 7.
How old are you? I asks this because I had an original NES and I can tell you those games are old but they're not "cheap". What the old era's lacked is computing power they made up for in gameplay and challenge. Speak for yourself. I am happy we're getting these. I'll purchase super Mario 3D Land, something no one will be able to do to get those 20 games.

I'm happy to get those too. I'm 22, I have memories since 3 of gaming. I got LoZ: OoT because I never played it, my grandpa played it. Whoops, I didn't see the quote boxes.
It's just that as a 22 year old who likes good graphics I can't imagine myself playing something like that. For me it's all about quality and maturity. It reminds me of what Sony's president said about 'no self respecting adult would be caught with something like that'. I understand that those are good games but it just isn't for me personally.

@TokyoRed Not sure if you're arguing a point or not. If so, I'm not saying the Ambassador program is amazing (which it is), but it's worth mentioning to the OP regardless. Consider that Nintendo had no obligation to give us anything, though; price drops happen so buyer beware.

My only problem with what you said is that you said games with quality and maturity technically a lot of classic games have both. Plus back then they wouldn't have been able to make flashy graphics.

You'll be paying less for Super Mario 3D Land than you would for those NES games, and that's before you factor in the GBA games.
@TheGameMonkey28, Rift again guys I'm NOT trashing on those classic NES games. I simply said that they are not for me. I have nothing against those good games nor do I deny that they are good. I simply said that they don't appeal to me in terms of my taste in games. In fact I respect those games as if it were not for them we'd not be so far along as we are now.
Plus, I'm totally happy with the GBA games and I'm looking forward to downloading and playing them.
You say that you already own Tales Of the Abyss & Zelda: OOT, so do you really want to go out and spend 300 dollars total on games that you can already play now? I mean, there is no new content added to Tales Of the Abyss 3DS, so its the exact same game, but worse because of the graphic downgrade and no multiplayer.

If you're looking for maturity then you bought the wrong console. I'm getting a Vita too. I'm moving away from the big consoles like PS3 and 360 because the handhelds offer more flexibility and the quality of games is rising rapidly. If you're looking for what Sony is selling then get a Vita. That's what I'm doing. I also appreciate what Nintendo is hoping to offer so I have a 3DS as well.
If you don't appreciate the Nintendo offer then why not return your system for a refund and buy it later at the new price?
Well if you want to buy one for $170 and get 20 free games, head over to Best Buy to exploit their 30-day price guarantee thingy, assuming all of those things are valid in Republic Of Korea. If not, well, it can't hurt to wait until there are more games out since there aren't any great deals for you.
Exploit Best Buy 30 day price thing? That is an excellent idea! That way I am not wasting as much money! You sir just saved me money! You deserve a medal. As for convincing you to buy the system, I can't say much here. I am only buying it to guarantee I get GBA games. I am already playing LoZ OoT on VC. I would buy the system eventually just because it was made by Nintendo, but that is just me.
