Topic: Connection lost during System Transfer (New 3DS)

I just got my Majora's Mask New 3DS (European with the game pre-installed).

During the System Transfer from my old XL, the connection was lost on the old system while the phase "Transferring data for Nintendo eShop (5/5)".

Now the New system is left in a limbo while it's trying to get data from the old system!

What do I do?

you might have to restart the systems and hope for the best. i doubt they are completely bricked

Same thing happened to me at the same step. I forced it off and turned it back on, and then it had to restart again when I went into the system setting menu.

All of my data is still safe in my old XL and I've restarted the transfer. Everything seems to be going normally so far. I'll report back here with the verdict

Okay! It was successful this time. All is well.

Those screws, though. Ugh, they were a pain.

I was unfortunately unable to return to the forums before now, sorry.

Glad to hear your transfer went okay!

Mine did too after all, for the most part.
I resolved the "limbo" by just leaving the system on it's own. After like 30 minutes it just stopped the transfer process and informed me that it was aborted because there's no response from the source system. It could have done that a bit sooner!!! (As in as soon as the source system went offline... )

After the second attempt at the transfer, it finished succesfully.

But now I have a new problem... The Mii Plaza can't access my microSD card?? Everything else works fine, but I can't receive new puzzle pieces. ??

You're definitely not the only one that's had that issue; I did too, as did someone else who I've just answered.

Hmmnh! I have not done anything special to my New 3DS (apart from playing Majora's Mask and connecting to the internet) recently, but now the Mii Plaza and Puzzle Swap works just fine. ( ?)

I lost connection during a transfer too, can I force a shutdown to stop the transfer limbo or do I have to wait
