Topic: Code of Princess

Agatsuma Entertainment is producing a 3DS exclusive sidescroller action RPG ala of Nexon's Dungeon Fighter called Code of Princess.

The game is being visually hand drawn by the talented Ninu Nishimura of Street Fighter fame. Code of Princess is a traditional 'beat-'em-up' at heart that tales the story of an armored princess who takes up a sacred blade to protect her father's kingdom from the monstrous horde that would sink into the abyss of oblivion. The game will feature experience points and level building. It is set for a Japan 2012 Spring release while we in the West will more than likely find out more about the game at E3 2012.

I hope this gets a western release, it looks great! I like the look of Allegro Nantabile Cantabile the most out of the four characters. Do you know if they are all playable in the same story or if they each have their own story?

They are all playable characters although I don't know if you have to unlock them. They do have their own personal stories.

Looks like an early PS2 game. I love the art style, it looks so vibrant and colorful!

@TheFox, it's more of a Robin Hood Men in Tights reference. Also she carries a sword which I almost thought or was wanting to see as a reference to Morgan Freeman's character in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves with Kevin Costner.

Ali Vava also reminds of Djaq from the BBC's glorious Robin Hood drama which spawned Merlin.

But I digress from Sherwood Forest.

I hear that the elf is female, but there are far too many clothes on "her" to be female in this game

Well part of the reason I said she reminded me of Robin Hood's Djaq because she is such a tomboy in appearance to some degree. You could easily mistake her for a male you know if it weren't for some things that didn't reinforce that she is a female.

That princess is ridiculously dressed. She must hail from the kingdom of Whorington.

I love it. And I'm glad she had the decency to grow some boobs. WHEN IS THIS GAME COMING OUT.

In this interview on siliconera said that they hope to bring this to the west which may not be a confirmation but at least its something. Also it will be out in Japan soon and here is the opening movie of the game:

The gameplay looks interesting, I agree with Tendoboy, it does remind me of the PS2 era.
