I'm just wondering (and sorry if there is already a thread on this!) what Nintendo of Europe will do if they fail to get Club Nintendo back up for their Limited quantity of soundtracks available to the first purchasers of Ocarina Of Time 3DS. I don't mean to curse all us in the UK, but it still isn't up, and shows no inclination of being up soon. What do you think will happen if this does end up being the case???
dude the soundtrack is only for the united states and canada i think.
Coming straight from Nintendo UK's website: clicky!
This is a worry for me as well, but the news story above says that you have to register by 30th June to get it - hopefully it'll be up by then! I do wish they'd at least comment on it though. Maybe I'll email them...
EDIT: I've just sent this email to them:
I was pleased to hear about the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time soundtrack CD being given away to Club Nintendo members who registered Ocarina of Time 3D before June 30th. However, due to the recent phishing threat, Club Nintendo has currently been shut down "until further notice". I am very eager to get one of these CDs, but I am concerned about how this will be possible if Club Nintendo is still down. Is it likely that Club Nintendo will be back online before this June 30th deadline passes and, if not, is there any way we can still get these CDs?
They most probably have a set quantity of CDs per country, so if the site remains down beyond the deadline, there's probably still no need to worry. What are they going to do, incinerate them? Of course not. They'll keep them until members are able to claim them.
Please sign my petition to get a European (and Australian) release for Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked for the 3DS. Don't let Europe be deprived of another amazing game.
The Nintendo UK website is once again fully operational so Ocarina of Time 3D owners should have no problems registering their game and ordering their free soundtrack.
i assumed the shutdown was to do with the 3ds eshop coming online last week. but that phishing thing sounds more plausible.
Yep - Nintendo of Europe confirmed at the time that the website had been shut down due to the phishing concerns. More details in the page I linked to, but all is well again now.
Glad I was able to get the CD. I was disappointed that it sounded like it was only for the US/Canada.
Might want to hop over and register your copy quick though, I'll bet this will go fast. A lot of UK retailers have messed up deliveries, I've seen a lot of complaints from people that they still haven't received theirs from Game, Play or Amazon so that will probably help.
Wish I could say the same, but my postal address won't validate!
Oh yeah i just happy about the game. I tried on Club Nintendo UK and i got the same thing here so your not alone! I tried sending the Customer Service people an e-mail but it said that was down too so i can't even send them an e-mail. Do you have any ideas what we should do?
I've skipped the promotion for now. I've still got the Japanese CD of the soundtrack from the N64 days anyway, which is supposedly largely the same, so I guess it's only fair if somebody else gets what could've been my copy. Cool freebie though!
As far as I'm aware, the European Club Nintendo offer of the Zelda soundtrack isn't being run on a "first come first serve" basis. It sounds very much like, as long as you register the game before 30th June, you'll get the soundtrack CD.
Edit: From the Nintendo UK website:
If you register your copy of the game by June 30th 2011 you'll receive a free THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: OCARINA OF TIME 3D SOUNDTRACK CD, containing a slew of beautiful tunes from the game’s score.
Ack, I registered the game, but I got a "try again later" error when giving the details to ship the soundtrack too. Now I can't find the page to get back to to get the soundtrack and "try again". Did I miss my chance 'cos of some error with nintendo's site?

Your far to kind, you might aswell take it!
@MrMagpie[ What you just said is EXACTLY what happened to me. I've contacted customer services so I'll post on here when i get a reply to help you out too. :)

I was hoping Nintendo of America would do it THAT way, but no... I actually have to buy it on Sunday to secure my chance. At least it'll take 2 weeks to be delivered compared to UK's 8 week...
