Topic: Circle Pad Problems

Has anyone else had a problem with their circle pad getting stuck? This happened to me at the end of june/beginning of july. The circle pad would work in three directions but not the other. I sent it in for repair, got it back and the problem was fixed. well, it just happened again. I tried turning the system on and off with the pad in the neutral position, and i tried the circle pad calibration several times....no luck. so now i get to send it back to nintendo again.

If I only want to go up down or left, i'm fine, but going right is just not going to happen. anyone know of any games that don't require you to move right? lol.

Nope. Never happened to me. The only problem I have is the circle pad slipping, but that's my own fault; I sweat when the gaming gets intense. o__o

My circle pad works fine. I pray I don't have any trouble with it but so far it seems to be fine.

@thesmorganator, not to go off topic or anything but that is one beautiful avatar. Is that from a TV show or old school video game?

No. It's either your 3DS is being stupid or your pushing too hard. DOn't Jank the circle pad, just slowly, conforably move it.

Anyway, I've had no problems here as well. My hand has slipped off the circle slider but that's my fault, my hands get a little bit sweaty after alot of gameplay.

No problems with the circle pad. I like it much better than the PSP's nub, but I do wish the 3DS pad had some sort of texture so my thumb doesn't slip.

I played a demo of the 3DS at Best Buy, and I did think it was a little slippery. Texture would help - - BUT there's no need for a newer version... haha, nope.

yes, i have the same problem... i'm contacting nintendo tomorrow. what did they tell you? are they going to replace the 3ds? will they transfer your ambassador privileges?

@aris77 it already happened to me once. sent my 3ds in, they fixed it and i got it back in a couple of weeks. they didn't replace it with a new 3ds, just fixed the circle pad. don't know if they will do the same this time or if they will give me a new one since its happened twice now. if they do replace it i really hope they make it so i can still get the ambassador games with the new one.
