Anyone know when this will be brought over here? I know it's possible to import from Japan or Europe, but that isn't an option for me. I'm thinking of pre-ordering a copy of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, but after trying the demo, I would really prefer starting the game with a CPP. I did complete both missions with all weapons, but I found underwater combat to be extremely disorientating using the available control options.

I would just wait and see what the deal is. I'm only getting the Wii U version, but I can understand the want for a CPP XL and/or the Wii U LAN adapter(not Wii LAN adapter) as a need for alot of people who want to just buy the 3DS version to get most of the same features as the Wii U version, even though it will be expensive...

MH3U(3DS)+CPP=$70

It was only announced for Europe, simultaneous release with mh3u. Sadly, the only retailer to stock the original cpp here is ebgames canada. Looks like I'll just have to wait; NoA is always so slow to bring the good stuff here. Not even any new colors for the 3ds XL while just about everywhere else gets new colors and bundles.

Launching MH3 3DS without the CPP XL is a really bad idea, but whatever. Good thing I'm not really looking forward to it.

Exactly, if they want to promote this game here in the west... why are they not releasing the bundles, and/or cpp xl for us?

It's taking them forever to import the biggest yet necessary peripheral for a handheld console in years to NA. That's why I skipped 3DS XL.

God only knows. This wasn't like RE:R which was perfectly playable without the peripheral, though. The bow is nigh impossible to use accurately, and I hate adjusting the camera on the touch screen.
NoA really dropped the ball on this, in my opinion.

There just aren't that many games that need it. Really, the only two I've found un-enjoyable without some form of the CPP are MGS3 3D and MH3 3D. I have MGS3 on my PS2 and, frankly, I didn't even enjoy the MH3 demo, so it's not like it's some huge loss.

It took a bit of time to get used to the XL but now I could never go back to the original model.

I might have gotten the original CPP if it had allowed me to play KI:U in a more naturalistic manner.
