Is anyone else(other than WaltzElf of course) excited for this? It looks like it's not just a Kart Racer any more. It seems their mixing it with some Crystal Chronicles hacking and slashing too. I can't wait to play it, it doesn't look as impressive as a lot of other 3DS games but I love the look of it.

I loved Chocobo Racing! 100% complete and spent many hours just enjoying it. I had no idea they were coming out with a Chocobo Racing game for the 3DS, but I'll definitely get it.

Oh right. Now that I see the pictures, this game looks nothing like Chocobo Racing. Where are the rocket-propelled rollerskates and scooters?

Yeh, there's only about fifteen seconds of footage from the reel but it should get it's own trailer soon.... most of the other games have.... and Square Enix lurv trailers.

In the original E3 screenshots it looks much more like the original(and racer).

Day one purchase. Probably 100 copies. Downloaded the PSX version from the Japanese PSN and love love love it. Much more than Mario Kart. Chocobo is my hero <3

Dunno about the RPG elements, though. I mean, I'm sure they'll be good - the two Chocobo Fables games both made use of light RPG elements to great effect in between the minigame gameplay, but man, this is a racing game.

Thank you for those beautiful images Oregano! I'm looking forward to this one to. I was really impressed with the little bit of footage I saw for this Chocobo Racing RPG in the Nintendo 3DS Software Line-Up trailer that was published yesterday. I'm so excited that I'm actually tingling with joyous excitement.

I'm quite the RPG fan and I do enjoy Mario Kart and NEXON's Kart Rider along with Maple Story and so to have a mix between the world of racing and the medieval RPG genre is quite a dream come true for me.

Yes, does seem a bit odd. They published the E3 screen which shows the racing the castle but now they're showing hack and slash RPG with a castle(possibly the same one) nearby... so I'm wondering if they'd changed direction with the game or it's some kind of weird mix between Dungeon, Tales and Racing....

I wished they'd post a proper trailer for it, that could help.

With the announcement of the Nintendo 3DS coming stateside in March we can probably expect to see a trailer sometime in either mid November, late December or early January of 2011. Actually the trailer could be released sooner than that since Japan will have the 3DS in February.

I'm just wondering how the RPG segments and the racing segments relate to one another. The game seems a bit incoherent at the moment. It'll all be explained once more is revealed.

Uuuuh that looks like Final Fantasy I'm not a fan of that game and this sure looks like a copy and also when their riding their heads move really WERID! And fighting and racing o.o? Interesting.

None of the Chocobo games, NONE of them, are remotely like a Final Fantasy game. They typically have some light RPG elements, but chalk and cheese.

I was excited, when I thought it was Chocobo Tales. Not interested in some fluffy party racer.

I just realized that Chobo Tales isn't even what I thought it was. Man, today sucks.

Eh, each to his own. Give me Chocobo Racer over Mario Kart any day of the week.

You know what? Give me a RPG starring a Chocobo over a party game that includes chocobos any day of the week.

Well the footage at Nintendo's conference did look much closer to an RPG than a racer. Just compare the old E3 shots to the new ones. Saying that it might have both modes or something.... tis a strange situation.
