I never played Chibi-Robo, but hearing Nintendolife's impressions about it, it looks like a fun game and I'd like to get it when it comes out....assuming it doesn't feel as a bit bland as Triple Deluxe.
The reviews this game is getting are heartbreaking in light of the article that came out saying this might be the series's last chance Saddest thing is the main thing the reviewers are complaining about (the level wheel) could have easily been removed.
The game looks fun to me and I'm still buying it. Fingers crossed it sells well enough that the series may continue eventually...I really love the character!
So the game was also developed by Vanpool.....that explains it. They are the ones that also screwed up Sticker Star's gameplay big time. The mini games in Superstar Saga are the only ones that they did best on and even then, while I like them a lot, I know many don't. I also don't get how Kensuke Tanabe couldn't get his division team make this game instead of Skip.
Well.....that just makes me want to pass this game because from the review standpoint, it doesn't sound and look like it can be fun.
I feel bad for those fans that will miss the IP now that this game ends the series......
@Artwark: Vanpool? I'm a big fan of the Tingle and Dillon games of theirs, but I feel like they are a way too divisive developer to entrust the future of a franchise to. Such a shame
This is a little bit of a downer. Zip Lash is a 2D platformer because making a game in the style of the original would have made it to hard for small children.
That sums up the changes in Nintendo's attitude in the last 10 years. They didn't feel the need to make sure the original game was suitable for small children, but now they aim every game at all ages. This isn't a bad idea in theory, but the problem is that the market they're aiming at now doesn't care, and the hardcore Nintendo fans that do still want to play Nintendo games are getting a little shafted for no reason.
I'm still undecided about this game. The special edition with the Amiibo is €49.99 at my local store...is it worth it? I don't mind the game being "too easy" if the game play is fun and the level design is good.
Now that I have finished it: Okay, that wasn't so bad. Its not fantastic mind you, but I might even give it a 7. I had fun with it.
I discovered today that there is a 7th world (according to gamefaqs anyway), but you can only unlock it with the Amiibo. I really hate that, I would have like that 7th world.
I beat this game the other day and rather enjoyed it. I have been trying to decide if I should try to sell it or keep it for one day when I will likely finally get some way to use the amiibo. I didn't know about that 7th world. I am definitely leaning more towards holding onto it now.
Heads up to those looking for the Amiibo. Check GameStop as I found one used for about 10$. At the time all I wanted was the Amiibo but today luck was on my side as I've had a mild interest in this game but not for 30$. Found it on sale at the Meijer I frequent for 10$. So far I'm quiet enjoying it. Sure it's nothing special but its not bad either. For 10$ I say I got a good game. I still think though it should've been an eshop only game for 20$ or 15$ might of sold better.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.
