Or if your more a Sainsburys and Nectar card using kinda person, word is that in-store Sainsburys is offering the system for £199 with £5 worth of nectar card points too. The systems going for the same price on their site but without the extra points.

You have to add a further £2.03 for first class postage if you want to guarentee release day delivery, making it £199.03p (still cheap). When I ordered my DSi through them, they reported a lack of stock and a delay of two weeks. I cancelled it and got it for round about the same price from Tesco in store. Think I'll stick with Shopto for now.

Zavvi are selling all their 3DS software for pre-orders for £29.85. The list is quite extensive but not complete. I've mixed my software pre-orders between shopto and zavvi dependent on price

Got mine preordered at Amazon, with guaranteed delivery on launch. £197 for the 3DS and then a couple of quid for delivery.

If they email beforehand with stock shortages, Ill cancel and go to Tesco before I start work

Actually I seem to recall zavvi being unreliable around about 20% of the time with my orders in terms of release dates, time of arrival, unarrived orders etc. So I cancelled all my orders there and have stuck with amazon and shopto for my software orders.

BTW, Toys R us are selling the 3DS for pre-order for £196.99 and selling bundles like Super Street Fighter IV plus the 3DS for £224.99, which is quite cheap overall. Check it out.

I'm starting to lean towards the deal they have going at Argos. The console might be a bit more expensive than, say, Amazon's price, but you get some freebies with it. The console is £219, but with that you get a free starter pack which includes a carry case and car charger, plus you get £60 worth of Argos vouchers, which could be used to buy more games.

(I got that starter pack from them when I bought my DSi and it came with a pretty good carry case. I kept shopping around for a better case, but couldn't find one that I liked better than the 'free' one.)

Online pre-order only though, isn't it? In store is still £230?

I've got one pre-ordered in store with a £10 deposit, but I can cancel at any time. I'm going to see what price/package I can get over the counter at a number of retailers on day one (packages with only games I already know I want) and see if I can get a better deal. Don't particularly want to commit to pre-ordering one via post particularly with the way the prices are changing so rapidly.

I already cancelled my order from GAME, they left it way too late.

See, its not that bad in Australia. I pre-ordered my 3DS for $298 (~184£) and it came with a free game (I chose the Rabbids game) and free delivery.

OK .. I've changed my mind about Argos. Someone on another site linked some information from someone who purchased through Argos. The deal doesn't sound so good now:

I pre-ordered mine from Argos and now I'm starting to regret it.

The deal was £250 for the console, Street Fighter, an accessories pack thing, and £60 of vouchers. I thought "great, I'll just use the vouchers to buy my first 2 games in Argos". I've received the vouchers today, there are:
2 £5 off when you spend £30 on software
2 £10 off when you spend £50 on software
2 £5 off when you spend £10 on accessories
2 £10 off when you spend £30 on accessories.
And here's the kicker, they're only valid until the 3rd of May. So they expect me to spend £240 on games and accessories by the 3rd of May to make the most out of the vouchers.

And I have to have my order confirmation for pre-ordering the 3DS whenever I use them, so I can't sell or give away the vouchers. AND the games are marked down as £39 on their website, so it would probably be cheaper to buy games elsewhere without the vouchers anyway.

£197 at Morrisons for Pre-oder folks.

What's this bit for again?

LEGEND_MARIOID

Thats a good deal. Shame I have already paid for my £199.85 3DS. Still, I'm happy.

I put in my order at Morrison's today and was told they're dropping the price down to £187 tomorrow. I was told that was the price you'd pay regardless of when your order was placed. No bad that!

Still can't think of a better place to kill some time.

Waiting for Animal Crossing 3DS - it's taking forever.

Morrison's for £187 eh?? That's sounding better all the time! I was considering cancelling my Amazon order to go with them because I could pick it up on the 25th for sure, and I'm not all that positive Amazon will deliver on time, or even by Saturday. If I go with Morrisons I can pick it up after work.
