If I buy a Japanese 3DS LL, will my european charger work on it? Or do I need to import a charger too?

Electricity is region-locked too, so you need a Japanese charger.

In all seriousness, as long as the plug fits, it should charge just fine. However, I found these articles about it:

So yeah, it seems Europe uses different voltage, but people have done it plenty of times with no problems. They apparently send the same amount of power to the 3DS regardless of region. You might want some more opinions though.

Well, its seems safe. Thank you

The only thing I can think of it being a problem is if something were to happen and you need to get it repaired using a different region charger may void the warranty.

you can use the european charger, what you cannot do is simply put a plug converter over the japanase charger and plug it onto the european outlet.
