its an awesome game. the first minutes makes you hooked already. there is that strong mystery feeling. something creepy out of it. I doubt the 3d version will offer the same experience, but who knows. the pixel graphics are old school, but the controls and gameplay is some of the most fluid in the genre. that 2d design help a lot to give that creepiness, its why i doubt about the 3D.
collectables, weapons that lvl up, health upgrades,etc. it reminds me of snes or nes metroids, and mixed with ratchet and clank for the weapon system. its very surprising it came out of a single person at first.
if you got a 3ds, buy the eshop version, you wont be disapointed.
That was very well written Samholy. However, I think that the 3DS version will carry over that Mad Scientist/ Frankenstein/Harry Potter-ish feeling of mystery, charm, wonder and eeriness although it will indeed take on a whole new meaning and ambience now that the old school graphics are gone. I think that GreatManaTree should download the PC version first and then he/she shall be better able to make his/her decision as to whether or not they should buy both the DSiShop and 3DS versions.

@Tanookisuit You don't have to buy the game the day it gets released.
I'm aware of that, but I also own a PS3 and a Wii, also I do pick up SNES games, so when they start doing dumb stuff like taking a stretch of 6mo worth into half that time it's aggravating. I schedule what i buy so I can make time for it and I'm not happy when like a bunch of stuff is all out at once as I end up missing half of it since it's not like they'll stop releasing more games after those.
