Topic: Castlevania: Mirror of Fate

Any Castlevania fans excited about this one. For me I am a little cautious about the way they are doing the whole reboot thing. I mean, Mirror of Fate is a side scroller which is good, but it seems such a mish mash of every Castlevania style explored. A part of me is like WTF, can't they just make an old school style Castlevania and be done with it? I do understand that they want to breath new life in the series, but I have to wait to see how it comes out. The art style is also not as good as the SotN and GBA games. At least it's not the anime style of DoS and PoR. The biggest problem I had with PoR is probably the art style, that, and Charlotte was kind of useless. Other than that PoR was a great game. Anyways though, I just am a little cautious about how they are going about this. What are your feelings about this game and the new direction the series is going?

In my opinion the Game looks very good the Boss battles they showed at E3 were looking verry interisting and I love the artstyle of the enemys.I can´t really compare it to other Castlevania Games because the only one i ever played was DoS.I may get MoF if it turns out to br good

If you only played DoS let me just recommend you Super Caastlevania 4 right now. It's on the VC and it is the best old school Castlevania. The game is really good. I liked Aria of Sorrow, mainly because of art style and "feel".

I have perfered the metroidvania style over the old school Castlevania but thats mainly due to the fact that SotN was the first Castlevania that I got really into.
I have yet to play Lord of Shadows on the Xbox but I am excited about MoF. Right now that and Epic Mickey are my top two on my pre order list.
