Topic: Can you system transfer to the new 3DS?

Title pretty much says it all but i'll elaborate
I've had a base 3ds since launch, it has dozens of games on it and is starting to go faulty, i've been wanting to upgrade to the xl for awhile now but that seems like a stupid move if the "new 3DS" can be transfered to.
Could anyone who imported one verify?

You can however I believe you cannot go back should you want to. (Don't know about going back to a 2DS).

Yeah, you can transfer from a 2/3DS(XL) to a New 3DS(XL), but it will be a one way trip.

I kinda wish they had a "new 2ds" too. A new 2ds with interchangeable face plates would be awesome.

I realy enjoy my 2ds and I trully consider it to be the best model for me, but I obviously will want the speed and features of the new versions when they come here.

The fact that you can't transfer back from the new systems makes me a little reluctant to upgrade though.
