Topic: Can preinstalled Software be transferred to system without Nintendo ID?

Hey folks!

I am really wondering which 3ds I should get. If I was able to get one of the special edition new 3dsses I might stick to the Majoras Mask one. My boyfriend would love to get my old 3ds and since I got Majoras Mask already on cartridge I wonder if I can transfer it to the old system for him.
So I would want to move the software of my old system to the new one and the preinstalled game to the old system.
Probably I need to register a Nintendo ID for my boyfriend on the new system before I can start any transfer?
I just wonder because I heard the preinstalled game was stuck to the system or does that change as soon as you register the ID?

Never want to come down, never want to put my feet back down on the ground.

why don't you just give your boyfriend the cartridge .. ?

Because I want to keep the cartridge. Apart from that I would feel rather stupid for having the Majoras Mask Steelbook, but not the cartridge. Though I already feel rather stupid for having two cases for one cartridge (which both came with the limited edition).

Never want to come down, never want to put my feet back down on the ground.

I would guess the following:
1. I register the Nintendo ID on the New 3DS
2. I transfer my normal 3DSses data on the new system
3. I register with the same Nintendo ID as the New 3DSses on the old system and get the preinstalled game?
Would this work out?

Okay (and I know I am mainly talking to myself here), I found out that one can only register one Nintendo ID on one 3DS-System which probably also counts for New 3DS so my plan probably would not have worked.
By chance I was able to buy the Monster Hunter edition on amazon (German/European amazon has minutes in which the system was available again for the normal price if anyone else is interested) though it will be sent as late as the 5th of March.

As my first problem/question is solved now, another one came to my mind:
I bought a Micro-SD of the same size (32gb) as the one in my original XL. When I transfer from the normal 3DS to the New 3DS I read that my safe data on the SD-card won't be transmitted, but I can still use it if I put the old card in the new system. But this is not possible for the SD card won't fit into the New 3DS and the normal micro SD that comes with it is only 4gb.

Can you tell me.....how? ^^

Thank you very much!

All your saves should transfer just fine.
I've used my PC as explained in this guide and haven't faced one single problem since then.
