So i dropped my 3ds and it broke in half, it must of landed on one of the hinges and it broke from there. Top screen is disconnected from the bottom screen. Can i send it in to nintendo for them to repair it. They say if they cant repair it they would just send me a new one. Has anybody tried this before? My 3ds is the 3dsXL not the new one with the C-stick.

The 3dsxl on nintendos website costs the exact same amount as it would to send it in for repair. It costs 125.00 dollars to repair it. So buying a new one isnt a problem for me.

You answered your own question, you said Nintendo said they'd try to repair it and if they can't they'll send you a new one.

You might want to go through Nintendo so they can transfer your stuff to a new system.
