Am I the only one who mistook the title for Beauty Default during the actual Nintendo 3DS Conference that night? It was so late and I was so very sleepy that when the camera came up panning over that almost erotic amazing girl in white image my brain automatically read the screen caption as Beauty Default.
However, I seriously hope they change the title from Bravely Default because while it might sound hilarious it is also a very ridiculous title to say the very lest and that is only putting it mildly.
I'm quite sure that the when game come comes to America and the UK there will be a name change as I'm sure they know people on the Western side of things won't find Bravely Default appealing. Who wants to Bravely Default on their mortgage? Flying Faries? Treasure Hunters? Guy's who have their stock up on Wall Street?
I hope the name changes for a western release too. I don't think the subtitle is that good either. It sounds girly and if there going to have fairy in the subtitle, they could've come up with something better. Since when do fairies not fly?
@Oregano, those are most beautiful screenshots I've seen in years! This is going to be perhaps the most beautiful game on the Nintendo 3DS ever or at lest for a very long time.

Oh just so everyone knows the hawt girl who is in suggestive pose on the cover thingie is mine. I claim her :3 Also I am soooo effing hyped for this game! Hope it comes out in AMERICA!!!! I totally loved 4 heroes of light and found it the perfect difficulty. I usually don't beat my games so the fact that I beat 4 heroes of light says something and this games looks awesomerrrr (no it's not just the sexi girl silly (but it helps ))

You know if Nintendo does the next Zelda game in a art style like that of Bravely Default you know I'd be the first in line at GameStop to reserve it. Phantom Hourglass was a adorable looking game but the characters in it don't walk with the Jack Sparrow-ish swagger of the Bravely Default characters. BDFF homies walk with class, character, swagger and total AWESOMENESS.

The name is actually growing on me... the title sounds pretty cool when you say it and it might actually have a decent meaning(as nonsense as it may seem). Most importantly it's a very distinctive name and it has got people talking about the game including a lot of people who would ignore it if it was 4 Heroes of Light 2.
Saying that I wouldn't be surprised it had the Final Fantasy name re-attached in the west or if they solely referred to it as FF: Bravely Default(where the FF actually stands for Flying Fairy).

I'm not clear on how the 3D effect is going to work with all these hand-drawn backdrops. Hopefully they won't disable it entirely or just make it a flat background with slightly 3D characters. Perhaps they'll just add levels to it, like card-board cutouts or a diorama.

The "bonus stuff" is a trailer with a gyroscope-operated 3D movie. Pretty cool, though a bit hard to get to focus right, since you have to turn around in your room quite a bit.
The ocean pic when animated is just... Beautiful. I could say the same thing for the music. And the name... I like it, its different and random. I'm in for some classic RPG's and I can't wait to see more gameplay vids, and I also want to see how the AR is further implemented. I just hope that SE will have the time to localize this title, the 3DS needs more RPG's, just like the original DS.

AFAIK the environments are actually polygonal(which is why they're ever so slightly jaggy). I'm not quite sure how they achieved those graphics but it might be similar to Id's megatextures.
