Topic: ...Bleh, help with music files for 3DS Sound.

I think I made a thread about this a while back, but the search bar here is crappy...don't feel like going through ten bazillion pages to find it.
Anyways, when viewing the music on my own computer, everything appears normal...but when the 3DS opens it up, the titles of the tracks are in Japanese. (and everything is out of order too...) Tried opening up the music file info with various programs and couldn't find anything at all. Even with Audacity.

Anyone know a good advanced tag editor of some sort that could find where the 3DS is getting its info from?

I do know that naming the files in itunes doesn't change their actual file name, but it might change it for the 3DS. I don't know because I use my 3DS for games, not music.

Try right clicking the files and going into the details tab. There should be a name there that you can change.

Like I said, when looking everything up on the computer, everything seems perfect. But the 3DS ends up showing Japanese titles even though their titles are in English on the computer. So there has to be some hidden tag the computer/iTunes/Audacity isn't picking up. :c

I remember asking this before when I had the DSi, and someone posted a link to an advanced tag editing program. But I can't find it for whatever reason. (man, I used to post a lot of threads back then. >.> )
EDIT: Screw it, I give up looking. lol
Lemme know if anyone remembers/knows a good program that might be able to fix this.

I assume you're using Windows?

When you click on a music file, not open it, you should get a bar appear at the bottom:

Untitled

Change the information to what you want to show, done. It also doesn't hurt to change the name of the file as well, as I believe the 3DS reads both, but I can't remember which one it overrides to.

It's not that Chris, lol. Already have someone helping me with this on another forum since I didn't have much luck here. But the problem is that there's hidden tags in the files that the system won't show.

I have that already, and it didn't work. lol
Anyways someone helped me on another forum I go to, didn't really get anywhere, but I ended up having to wipe all of the tag info completely and re-enter everything myself.
