Topic: Black or white N3DS - help me choose tonight

I've decided to take the plunge. I've never had a handheld but I want a N3DS.... I just can't decide whether to order white or black. My initial reaction to them aesthetically is to opt for the white one, but general consensus seems to suggest black is better for contrasting against the screen, and not getting that 'dirty', yellowing look.

Will the white one 'yellow'?

Anyone gone for the white one over the black and regretted it? If so, why?

I tend to prefer darker colors for consoles. Specially for portables.

Whites tend to get yellow (specially buttons) and look dirty with time.

The good thing for me is that I'm usually unable to find white or lightly-toned electronics aesthetically appealing, so it's always an easy choice.

@MorphMarron What's the black like for grease marks and fingerprints?

Well, I wouldn't know since it's not available over here, but if it's like the 3DS XL or the 2DS, it shouldn't be a fingerprint magnet.

As someone that have never had a 3DSXL, my 3DS had fingerprints everywhere. Including the SD Card slot. Most of them came from the 100s of kids that come to my house tho.

Get the Red XL. It is magnificent.

I think the red 3DS is a beast!

Personally I prefer white, but I'd go with black for the whole getting dirty thing. I've been fine with my Black normal 3DS.

I went for black (better contrasting with the screen, less dirt visible). And also, but this is personal, I like most of the cover plates better with the black version. Most look dull with white IMHO.

I've made the decision. Might hate myself for the rest of my life, but I've gone with.....

White.. It doesn't go yellow and dirty as long as you "take care" of it.

I usually like white as it looks more elegant - but I guess it's up to each and everyone's own taste. Kind of glad the limited Ambassador Edition came in white as I didn't really have a choice in colour there!

I also have a Black/Blue 2DS which I use when I don't feel in the delicate mood lol.
