Get used to it. I know I'll have to since you can only change your name ever 90 days. Curse impulse-renaming.
My plan is to get this after Ocarina too, but if you want RUNNER to be super-magical you might hold off on it for the collection but I'm probably just being OCD crazy.
Oh dear, yet another port.. I understand gaijin games but I feel it to be a cheap cash in. I don´t think it will transfer well to the 3DS. All games in the saga is strictly 2D with "3D" background mocking with our focus. Having this background in "real" 3D and still keeping focus on the 2D gameplay.... I would have to see this before concidering a purchase. Also I feel I have had my Bit.Trip urge already fulfilled owning the full saga on WiiWare.
Lots of people who never would've given the series a chance on WiiWare or hadn't heard about it before now have a big opportunity to buy it at retail. There's nothing wrong with that.
That 3D screenshot is really great! If it looks as good as that in motion then they did an absolutely fantastic job with the 3D visuals! I wasn't that excited for this game before since I'm one of the people who finds it a tad overrated but this has really got me excited! These games will be much more appealing to look at now. Plus they all feel like they're better suited to a handheld rather than a console.
In addition to combining the six original games in one package, the Wii disc version will have a number of extra features, some not even found in the 3DS version (which will, to be fair, include 3D effects, portability, and touch screen controls for some of the games). The console compilation will have an art gallery, video gallery, and audio gallery, plus a special text message/commentary from creator Alex Neuse of Gaijin Games on each of the titles. More importantly, there will be new difficulty levels for each game. The biggest addition is a set of 120 new challenge levels, made up of 20 for each of the six games in the set. These will demand absolute perfection from the player, but they are kept short (possibly very short) to avoid frustration.
wtf, Gaijin, i love you guys to bits (ha, bits) but i don't want to have to buy these games for a third time over. gdi i want that text message/commentary soooooooo bad, though... sigh.
