In this thread I am just looking for good 3DS games to next get. I have Samus Returns, all Zelda games except triforce heroes, Mario 3D land, Kirby planet Robobot, smash, and 4 VC games. Got any other ideas?

Well, If I may suggest something, it would help if you tell us the type of games you like so that we can avoid mentioning games you wouldn't care.

Some of my suggestions:

Monster Hunter Stories, LBX and Dragon Ball Fusions if you want pokemon-like games. They are turn based (except LBX which is about robots fighting in real time) focused on collecting and doing the best posible teams.Despite being turn based, they all have different types of gameplay that make them really different between them aside from he collecting and exploring aspect.

For platformers I recommend Chicken Wiggle, Shovel Knight and the Aure Striker Gunvolt games. Chicken Wiggle allows to create and share levels online, while Shovel Knight and Aure Striker Gunvolt have meaty campaigns. Shovel Knight is similar to games like duck tales, Castlevania and Megaman, while Azure Striker Gunvolt is closer to Megaman X/Megaman Zero and favors faster gameplay than the average platformer. I almost forgot about Shinobi 3, which is not only cheap, but also amazing. With many different actions, amazing soundtrack and a new 3D effect since it's on the Sega Classics collection, I really recommend it. Also, if you haven't played it, Donkey Kong (game boy) it's an amazing game with short levels that offers a completely different Mario experience, focused on resolving short puzzles while introducing for the first time the Acrobtic Mario we knoe from 3D games and his Mini Mario series.

If you want a shooter, there's Resident Evil Revelations, which is one of the few horror games on the library. It's constantly on discount (I think 9.99 dollars so it's pretty cheap) and it's a great 3rd person shooter, better than most Resident Evil Games in my opinion. In terms of gameplay it's really similar to Resident Evil 4.

There's many other games I can recommend but first I'd like to know about your preferences to see if you would be interested in them. Fire Emblem fates, Etryan Odyssey 4... Even the DS library. There's many options.

Well, I reallly enjoy JRPG's, platformers, action games, and maybe a little RTS. (Pikmin style). I think Pokémon is okay, but gets boring to me really fast. I have also been looking to get into FE also.

@Voldemort807 Fantasy life is a great recommendation if you like Jrpgs. It's super fun. If you haven't played Kirby Triple Deluxe yet that's also fantastic, plus it's a select title now so you can get it for $20. I would also recommend any of the Etrian Odyssey games on the 3ds (There are demos on the shop so you can try them before you buy).

In terms of action games, Kid Icarus Uprising is PHENOMENAL! The control scheme takes some getting used to but it's a great game with a lot of replayability and a great cast of characters.

There's also Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D for more quality platforming action.

So zetta slow!

Fire Emblem Awakening is still probably my favourite game on the system.

You mention platformers and RPGs. My favourite platformers are Shovel Knight and Yoshi's Wooly World.

Best RPGs are Dragon Quest 8, Tales of the Abyss and Bravely Default

It's dangerous to go alone! Stay at home.

@Voldemort807 I've been enjoying FE Fates a lot, and if you buy one you can get the other 2 campaigns at half the price. If you enjoy difficulty, I recommend the Conquest campaign. If you are looking to be introduced in a more accesible way, play Birthright.

Etryan Odyssey 4 is also great, focusing on gameplay and freedom of character creation since you'll select the classes and abilities of your party, making it a highly customizable experience. Storywise the game is a bit simple considering that it doesn't have the protagonists as established characters, but interesting. The game has a considerable difficulty and if you enjoy dungeon crawlers, you won't find better games in my opinion. Also, you don't have to play the previous ones to understand the story.

Rune Factory 4 is a game with a top-down perspective similar to 2D Zelda games and with many aspects that remind one of the Harvest Moon games, however this game is a blast (sorry to HM fans, I really find them boring) since not only can you farm, craft, go fishing or whatever, you are also able to explore dungeons, have real time combat (again, similar to 2D Zelda), tame monsters and use them and many othet things. There are many likeable characters to get to know and even marry, and the story is interesting enough to keep you going. It's a really fun, meaty game that, I don't know exactly why, but it captivates me way more than any of those similar games, even when doing the farming and other stuff I usually hate.
