I'm new in "new-gen nintendo world", because my wife gave to me N3DS for christmas and I need your help with 3DS games. I started as a child with SNES and GB, but then got PSX and lost connection with nintendo new stuff. I need help with: "What to buy for games? What to buy in eShop?". I have Super Mario All-Stars, Donkey Kong Country, Kirby's (Ghostrap/Dreamland - not "story mode" Kirby TT__TT), etc. so I'm not so out.
Here is my list, what I think, that want :
Fire Emblem x Bravely Default
I'm not sure which to buy. Naturally, I like Square Enix due to Final Fantasy Series, but wanted to try something new. Then I dont know if have to wait for FE Fates or buy Awakening. (same with Bravely Default/Second)
Super Smash Bros and Mario Kart 7
I feel these two games as "every-day-carry" games for 3DS
Pokemon
I love Pokemon series, but I'm completely confused about new titles XD (Black/White, X/Y). On other side I really like Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, bcs it's something, what I already played but it's with the new 3D "look".
Monster Hunter
4 Ultimate or wait and hope for release of MH Cross (X) in Europe?
So.. What do you think? What about DS legendary games, what about virtual console games? What do you recommend?
Really thank you about your reading, answering and sorry for my English, I'm Czech and have a lot of work with my own language
It seems to me you know what games you want but just want help deciding which ones you want first, in which case get Mario Kart and Smash Bros as the rest all have sequels* coming whereas Smash and Kart are normally once a gen releases.
*Pokemon hasn't got a sequel announced yet but my money is on it coming.
I recommend getting 4 Ultimate since it will be at least 6-12 months at the bare minimum before Capcom might decide to announce a western release of Monster Hunter Cross. You'll be able to get a bunch of hours from 4 Ultimate and you won't need to worry about locked monsters/quests since they already released all of the free dlc packs last November.
Get Oot and A Link Between Worlds. Ocarina of Time is a classic and still a very fun game. ALBW is more of an open world game, but it's a really good Zelda game. I'd suggest getting Awakening before jumping into Fates. Awakening gives a good introduction and you learn how to play Fire Emblem(if you're new to the series). After that, you can decide where you want to go in Fates. For Pokémon, I'd recommend X & Y first then ORAS. X and Y are Gen 6, and the next Pokémon game will take after them. ORAS are remakes of Gen 3 but both are solid games.
