Topic: Average StreetPass hits in an airport?

This more of a question for those that fly frequently and know from such experiences. My folks and I are planning on going to Florida in November for vacation. And one of the airports we will stop at is Atlanta. So my question is, will there be a good chance of getting at least a decent amount of StreetPasses, or at any at all for that matter?

I've gotten 3 (technically 4, but one was on the plane) StreetPasses, 2 (and the plane one) at LAX on two visits, and one in Auckland International. I'd say there's a reasonable chance of getting some at any airport; lots of people in a (relatively) small space with time to kill, seems like a good spot to get a few StreetPasses, no?

Exactly.

I personally had no luck the last time I made a big trip, despite walking past tens of thousands of people at some really busy airports. The only thing I could figure was people must turn their systems off, knowing they're going to have to on the plane or because they want to conserve battery life for playing on the plane, or they turn them off and forget to turn them back on when they get off the plane, because I definitely should have tagged someone in all that time.

While I really want to say 42 or Over 9000! I would say pretty small. The majority of Streetpasses I've gotten are from kids, who don't understand the importance of "leaving the yellow light on".

Yeah I've been to airports, theme parks, schools, Comicbook Conventions and many other places and its all a gamble, sometimes I recieve nothing, and other times I recieve over a hundred (with me continually going through them at every 10). So you never really know how many you'll get, not everyone has one and as said before a lot of kids ether don't know how to turn it on or their parents have restricted the use.

I kinda figure it's a "right place at the right time" at an airport, just like any other busy place (except of course for Nintendo related events).

I've gotten 7 at most. 4 were from my own country, 3 were foreign.
