Topic: Average Age of 3DS Owners

I'm wondering what the average age of 3DS owners is? I was thinking last night that it's just a bit too pricey (along with the cost of games) to just be a kids toy - you need a full time job just to be able to afford one (or very understanding parents).

I'm 18 and jobless and have one. But that is mainly because for my birthday last year (August) I told my parents I wanted nothing except an agreement to buy the 3DS come time for its release. That left my own money (Which I had been saving for quite some time) free to buy many launch games. BTW, I don't think one would require a full-time job just to afford a 3DS. I mean $250 is a lot of money but it isn't THAT much. A little saving and most anyone could own it.

Hey, fellow jobless 18-year-old!

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

Heh....just wait until you move out and get your first place. You'll feel $250 then, believe me.

@Mowzle - LOL

I'm not too embarrassed to say that I'm 45 ..... that'll bring the average age up a wee bit.

I'm 22, and my brother is 26...we each bought one at launch. At the rate this thread is going, even THAT raises the average.

EDIT: Oh, another older poster while I was typing this one. Mayhaps not, then.

I'm 22 I saved up a bit money from my birthday. My parents and extended family are very kind. But, yes, once I move out and get a job of my own I'll be spending a LOT less. Actually, I've already begun to see how shocking it is to afford things in this life. Life is EXPENSIVE.

14. Saved up a little bit a week since October. In the end that was enough for 1 Launch game, accessory pack and the 3DS
My mum got me another launch game and so did my Uncle

I'm 19 and I had a part time job a local movie theater before it closed in February. I was easily able to afford my 3DS, as I'm living with my mom while I'm going to college, and my only expense is gas.

I have a vague idea of the cost of real living. Enough to have no freaking idea how I'm EVER going to afford it...I used to see things the way bboy2970 put it. I know better now, and I miss the ignorant bliss.

I'm 29 (yes, that means I'm ancient to the good lot of the people here — I've played Pac-Man on the Atari). I am also a second-time college student and had it not been for overflow financial aid money, I would never have been able to afford my 3DS.

EDIT: Oh wow, I just looked at the other commenters on this thread and was pleasantly surprised to see that I'm not the oldest guy in the room for once! Good to know that there are other older Nintendo gamers in the world!
