I'm a 30 year old human rights lawyer who takes gender and sexuality issues very seriously and I love Senran Kagura, why? it's the best 2D beat'em up I've played since the days of TMNT 2 and 3 on the NES, 2 I give the game credit for having all the costumes as fanserviceay as they are to be in game unlockables in a time where everybody seems to think customing optinos for your character should be 0.99 or more a piece. Does the fanservice gets a bit uncomfortable at times, yes it does but only because its so in your face you are forced to think about it unless many other games that also have sexist content such as Mario and all the other games with rescue a princess type of plot where you simply not think about the implications of what you are playing.....
If you're serious, it's Destructoid. It's a nice news site, good reviews, great personalities, and from what I've seen, the best comment section on the internet. It has its share of fanboys of every corner, but most of the time there's either reasonable or hilarious discussions. They have forums, but the comment section has enough discussions that I've never even touched them.

If you're so offended by this material, why the need to seek out others who share your mutual offense? I mean, if you're honestly disgusted, there are many better places to get awareness that won't rile up the people who are fine with it. If you're attempting discussion, you've already failed by classifying the opposing viewpoint as morally inferior.
But then again, I've been gone for over half a year. These kinds of threads could be common here.
Is this some kind of social media thing that I don't get? If you can't comprehend why anyone would like something you attempt to make your moral ground superior? Can you even judge other's morals?

Where I've been it's just so... nice. I don't feel like I'm constantly looked down upon by people who are more rightous than everyone else.
I also don't use tumblr ever. I've been told there's a correlation between those things, though of course I wouldn't know for myself.
I have been quietly exploring tumblr and I can say that it seems almost impossible to say something without offending at least a small army of people there.
It can be anything, there will be someone offended.

I'm not offended, or interested. Anime movies and games, generally aren't what I look at for entertainment. For some reason, I'm surprised and not surprised about this. They just do stuff differently in Japan, or Europe, for that matter.
You can buy alcohol at age 16, in France, I think. That's about on the same level as this, IMO. Not to mention there are beer and cigarette vending machines in Japan, too.
Live let live. Those differences just aren't how things are in America(anymore, in some cases).

I said my piece about this matter on ONM I don't really want to have an argument over something so minor as this all I'm going to say is that their are worse games available that portray women as either dumb a hooker or worse but it still gets played by loads of kids just go onto an open lobby online.

I've decided to come back, seeing as how this topic has transformed somewhat. If expressing our opinions that something like this is inappropriate, if people get riled up by our saying that, then that is their fault. From me at least, you have seen no finger-pointing, high-handed platitudes, or bullying. So I would suggest that maybe painting us as hypersensitive, prudish, and self-righteous losers isn't the way to go. From my first post, I was talking from personal experience, as have others (whether supporting my stance or not). My point is that stuff like this helps titillate and stoke the fire. And it was my opinion that it CAN lead to wanting to explore harder stuff, because when you're watching breasts bouncing, and girls in their underwear for hours on end, really, who isn't tempted to want to go down that dopamine-rewarding pathway some more. THAT was my point. That it could help lead you to the hard stuff, which is the stuff that has all of the extremely negative consequences. Fightthenewdrug.org has a lot of the data referenced, supported by many different studies, and personal accounts shared by people. THAT is the point I was trying to make.
Honestly I've seen the same kind of reaction in other online games/gaming communities I've been to. If you object to almost anything, from a moral standpoint, you're whitewashed into some hypersensitive idiot who can't handle living in the real world, who really just needs to shut up and "stop offending people" by expressing their own opinion.
@mikeymaster2001, it is clear that you are either still continuing your education or are very young. Placing a "moral" value on something, which is completely arbitrary and self righteous in itself, is exactly what you have done. The more you elaborate on what you mean, the more it appears you just have a personal issue with how some people wish to utilize their free time. The website you reference has no scientific information nor is any content based on any actual scientific findings, you are fueling a fire of hatred by encouraging such sites, not effecting any positive change.
Worse, you are attacking a video game simply to promote and propel your selfish desires. This will, inevitably, cause a lot of video game fans of all walks to see you as nothing more than another Hilary Clinton attempting to blame one of our favorite mediums of entertainment for a non-existent problem. Basically, crying wolf for your own need for attention. As I pointed out previously, there are plenty of real problems in the world that need attention and support in correcting, problems that cause people to suffer without any valid reason. Your personal agenda has no bearing or weight on what is popular in any sub culture, and video gamers are a sub culture, one that helps keep the world turning now. Ironically, porn and video games are the only markets that have kept the world market from completely crashing during the financial crisis we have faced recently.
But meh, I care not for, or about, the porn industry beyond knowing that we do owe it gratitude for keeping our way of life going. So you are making two huge mistakes here, attacking a video game on a website of video gamers, and attacking the fundamental aspect of life itself on a website of .... well, humans.
