Mum was just after telling me that my copy of Super Smash Bros 3DS has arrived and the release date is tomorrow.Oh I'm excited to get home now but was planning on playing it on my new 2DS tomorrow but I will just play it on my 3DS Xl which has an engraved scratch on the top screen which isn't too bad but annoys me a little.
You should order games online as they are more likely to come early due to delivery times.Imagine if they delivered it on the day it came out.Soo much hate would be let loose because some people don't understand that the developer can sue the seller and some sellers don't take the risk.
I got mine yesterday from TheGameCollection. They're my new favourite retailer. Cheaper than everyone else too. Quite a few friends got theirs from ShopTo and even the Nintendo store today.
@Benja_Mii_n They can only sue them, if the street date is definitly fixed and enforced. Most of the time, the street date is handled in a way like the suggested retail price. The retailers are given a set margain to go above or below the suggested retail price.
I have a friend working at one of our biggest electronics stores with close connections to Nintendo, and most of the time, they are very leniant with the release dates. They have the definite OK to release most games as soon as they are arrived and labeled.
As of yet, there were very little exceptions to this. Consoles for instance, is something where Nintendo is very strict when it comes to the release window. They may in no way be sold prior to the set release date. They may not even be seen public over here.
So "breaking the street date" isnt as maverick as some people make it out to be.
