Topic: Anyone else bummed out about Baby Luigi?

I mean being the "Year of Luigi" I would expect him to be the main baby of the new Yoshi's Island as the last two have been about saving Baby Luigi. I mean I know its probably coming out in 2014 but it was announced this year and could have helped promote the event. Nintendo always seems to find some way to miss out on opportunities for expanding its cast of characters and storyline. Maybe if we're lucky we can get a "Year of Yoshi" next year.

Where'ya get that idea from.

I think the Year of Luigi is just something their marketing team came up with. I don't think the guys actually designing the games consider Luigi to be their focus this year. The PR team wanted to push Luigi's Mansion, so pointed out a few other Mario games that involve Luigi and bam... 'Year of Luigi' is born.

We've barely even seen the game. How do we know if he's playable or not? Also, it's Yoshi's game, not Mario's.

Yeah Year of Luigi was definitely a form of marketing notice how the use him to show off Mario Golf. But anyway yeah I was bummed out because Baby Luigi wasn't playable in the sequel but they had every other character. I always figured Baby Luigi would make Yoshi run faster and jump farther and flutter longer. Just an idea ya know Baby Luigi being kidnapped was the plot of the last two Yoshi games maybe if they switched it up it would have been cooler or at least had him be with you the first half of the game.

Personally, I'd consider excluding Baby Luigi from the Year of Luigi festivities as doing Luigi, and the world, a great service.
