I really hope they rerelease the first 2 games (and Misadventures of Tron Bonne too!) as I LOST the first game (cries) and I never got the 2nd game.
I'm sure there are a decent amount of people who have never played the game so let me sum up why it is awesome.
This game was made all the way back in 1997 but had- Voice acting that was actually good. Really good actually. Some of the most awesome, fun villians EVER. HUGE AMAZING FUN BOSS BATTLES. No description can do them justice. It's like if the best Zelda boss battles gave you more freedom. And were robots. I think 50 weapons. (25 at least) The same high quality (as far as I'm concerned higher quality) as OOT. Some legitimately creepy dungeons.
And all together pure fun and for multiple reasons (being an early 64 bit game being a Megaman game) full of unexpected but welcome surprises.
The Voice Acting has not aged well. The Villan are charming, like someone out of a kid's cartoon. In fact, a lot of the game is meant to feel like a kid's cartoon. The Boss battles were fun, but exceedingly difficult, made worse by the stiff controls. multiple deaths on even the first boss battles are to be expected. Only about 20 weapons/equipment, I think. Maybe even less, maybe a bit more. Whether or not it's better than OoT is both debateable and irrelevent. It's a good action-Adventure in its own right. The Dungeons are indeed quite creepy.
I don't know I find it to be quite good. But that might be nostalgia talking. But even ignoring that the amount of times voice acting is worse in games even today annoys me. If they could get it right in 1997, why not now?
I love the 2 Mega Man Legends games. They were insane at the times when they released and the open world 3D worlds just seemed to work back then. Im sure like most games they havent aged the best but Id give both the games another run through anytime.

All my News and Reviews in One convenient place!
my Playstation (original) died on me in 2005. RIP anyway the first megaman legends graphics where pretty choppy. on 3DS blog i saw a 25 sec video showing the devlopmental proccess of megaman legends 3 graphics. as far as i can tell they look pretty good, not just good, im talking gamecube good!
This is ground control to major Tom, you've really made the grade. And the papers want to know whose shirts you wear
Now it's time to leave the capsule if you dare
I guess but there are other Capcom series that deserve priority over the Legends series (which is just "meh" in my opinion and certainly didn't age well considering plenty of 3D action/adventure games in the 32-bit era were far superior than Legends even back then). Mega Man X9, Power Stone 3, Rival Schools 3, Strider 3, or a new Onimusha would have all been better choices for 3DS games instead of MML3.

I would love it if they made a new game in those series on any other console but the 3DS. I'm not particularly keen on taking them on the go and I just feel that they could do well enough on XBLA, Wiiware, or a full disc release when I could use them on the big screen, in some cases with an arcade pad. MML3 seems perfect for the 3DS because, well, it's Mega Man in 3D. That's always been it's biggest draw. Now we have it in true 3D. Plus, the series isn't quite big enough to make it as a full disc HD game, but since it's an adventure game, it would be far too short as a downloadable. The 3DS was the perfect chance for the series to make a comeback, and I'm glad they went for it.
Opinions can't be right or wrong. Seems you didn't get that memo. X starting sucking at X6 by the way, all the more reason to reboot it with X9. Legends has been "meh" since it's inception.

In your opinion. Obviously it isn't in the opinion of the fans, who will gladly pick up MML3 while you wine for a Mega Man X game that IMO would be far better off on Wiiware anyways, with old-school 2D graphics instead of them trying yet another 3D game in the series.
