Topic: Any other earlyy adopter 3DS owners mad?

Old people are a gold mine. They have a lot of time, a lot of money and there are a great number of them.
There are more old people than people with an appropriate charger.
And the Dsi XL was mainly marketed at old people, at least all the marketing I saw.

A lot of people on this site, who already had a handheld and wanted to justify not getting a new one? Again, statistical methods = great class. Take it some time.

And there would be no need if you admitted you said something naive and moved on. Instead, like most people you choose to go down in flames (pun semi intentional).

Like every other platform revision, this is to accommodate the largest amount of people. Saying anything otherwise is just ignorant.

It is a bit annoying, but I plan on not getting it at this point. It looks about as big as a old 1990's handheld (Lynx, Game Gear). I'll wait and see what the next the version looks like before buying one.

I'm a little annoyed because Nintendo has been talking down the idea for awhile now.

Over 500 hours on my classic 3DS already.

The XL will bring many more, and even more with New Super Mario Bros., Luigi's Mansion, and Paper Mario to name just a few shortly after.

So yeah I'll go and buy it with my own money day one, and no I'm not mad, both are worth the investment with several hours for each dollar, at least an hour still even if you add game costs on.

Do you have a statement from Nintendo saying the revised version was primarily developed for older people? Or commercials that convey the same message?

Now remember, they have to be old old people because we're assuming they have seeing issues as we determined earlier in this thread. Regular adults don't count.

Shame on you for buying a 3DS,PS Vita is were it's all at.

I'm not mad. This version isn't superior; It gets a good tradeoff of a bigger screen + a bit more Battery life for more money. My 3DS has taken a beating. So, I guess this is the best thing for me to get.

Agreed. Whining just because AN OPTIONAL upgrade was released is pointless. You all should have expected this sometime.

No, not mad at all. I'm very happy with my Dsi XL and i'm sure the 3DS XL will be just as great. I will buy one ASAP

My 3DS is fine....its screen size is fine....its also shinier.

seriously? how many game boy and game boy advance and ds updated versions were released? of course they were going to make an updated 3ds. it was inevitable. why would you be mad when they continued to do the same thing they've been doing for about 20 years?

I didn't' say that it had been primarily developed for old people, I said it was marketed to them. And I said so because after being subdued to the marketing I was under the impression that it was for old people.

At this point I might add that I live in Finland and, while not usually the case, they may have marketed it a little differently than in other regions. They didn't have commercials in the TV, they never have here, and I'm not going to find old newspaper adds that you most likely wouldn't understand.

On a side note, how many products are developed for one audience, and then marketed towards a completely different one? lol. There is a correlation there.

There is no winning or losing in pointing out stupid things people say online.

They show it being played by ALL ages. How does this support the assertion that the revised ds is targeted towards older people with eye problems?

And why does it not support my belief (also known as the truth) that the ds revision is for all ages? When all ages are in the video?
