Topic: Any good non-turn-based games for 3DS?

Bought a New 3DS a week ago and I'm playing Xenoblade 3D and Box Boy right now, loving them both. I'm intrigued by the Shin Megami Tensei series and Fire Emblem and all that, but I can't stand those turn based games where you select a few options and just sit there. The only game where that's alright for me is Pokemon.
I prefer games where you play the part of one person, not a team.

So what games would you recommend that aren't turn based? I'm looking at Kid Icarus, Resident Evil Revelations and Fantasy Life right now, any of you guys played them?
On the other hand, are there any turn based games that are so good that they will convert me?

In addition to kid icarus and fantasy life which you mentioned, did you consider tales of the abyss? its a port of a PS2 game and has some great action mechanics. and after you finish the main story (which could take easily about 50-60 hours) you can start over on another difficulty level.
playing it right now, to be honest =]

Well, I can definitely attest to the immense fun of Senran Kagura 2! Can't get much faster than that. Beat 'em up glory at its finest!
Then there's also Demon King Box, which, despite the bugs that may never get fixed at all, is a really well-made realtime strategy game on rails!
For good measure, you could also go for Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. Steep learning curve, but a very deep combat system with a lot of strategic buildup!

And lastly, for really good turn-based games, I'd call for Bravely Default, as much as I hate that game. The turn-based combat system has a very creative "Brave" mechanic that allows you to basically ignore traditional turn-based rules and attack multiple times at once - plus the "Bravely Second" feature that gives you a chance to just attack anytime you want, even in the middle of an opponents' attack!

<insert title of hyped game here>

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is definitely something I highly recommend. Lots of action, and it takes skill.

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

I think that you are already aware of the 3 excellent Zelda games on 3ds. Ocarina of time, Majora's mask and Link between worlds all pure gaming masterpieces !!!
As for the Fantasy Life you mentioned ... This game for me is a reason to buy a 3ds, it doesn't even uses any of the features of my beloved white new 3ds but what can i say i love this game

@Kaze_Memaryu: Thanks for the recommendations! Senran Kagura 2 looks sexual, which is a plus (wink wink) and the combat looks sweet. Demon King Box doesn't look like it's for me...the combat's not my type.

I was going to buy Monster Hunter 4, but I think I'll wait for Monster Hunter X just because it'll probably be better.
I tried the Bravely Default demo and it actually looks quite attractive so I'll give try the demo some more and let you know if I'll buy it.

@Iznax: Yep I've heard a lot of good things about the Zelda 3DS games, especially Majora's Mask.
I'm excited for Fantasy Life too, I actually just got outbidded a minute ago for it on eBay. I'll try to buy it again after I've played out Resident Evil Revelations (which in on sale in eShop for £7.49).

Thanks for the help guys ^^
